I'm looking at bringing in one or two GRAs at Univ. North Dakota for Fall 2025 to work on aerosol analysis, forecasting, remote sensing, and agricultural weather/climate. Due to funder requirements, must be a US Citizen. For more info, send me an email.

Dropping this a day earlier than planned because I'm excited... I'M LOOKING FOR A GRAD STUDENT!
Consider joining my new and growing group of sickos doing tropical weather/climate research in the Northern Plains.
Spread the word, and if you'll be at #AMS2025, let's talk!

ALT An advertisement for a funded graduate research assistantship, under my supervision at the University of North Dakota! The project broadly investigates how tropical cyclone structure and processes are simulated in climate models, but has a couple of different potential pathways for the student to pursue. For full consideration, applications are due by February 1.

See you soon, #AMS2025.
Next week I'll share teasers for my 3 presentations, but first... big news dropping Monday.
Hint: I'll be looking to have some conversations with students while I'm at the conference. 👀
Excited for #AMS2025 in less than 1 month!
It will be a busy, front-loaded week with 3 talks, repping @UNDATSC, and the @AMSEarlyCareer conference.
I'll be in New Orleans most of the week, and eager to get new connections going in the meantime!

Who will I see at #AMS2025?
I'll be in New Orleans from Saturday to Wednesday, January 11-15, excited to share my journey to professor life and work I've been up to, both in and out of tropical meteorology.
Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new connections. ⛈️

Couldn't ask for a better group of students for ND's NASA Eclipse Ballooning Project team! We had an incredible time with 30 successful balloon launches! & special shout out to @marquis_jared for still being our fearless leader, even though he wasn't able to be there in person. – at Wisconsin, USA

Looking good for the weekend! Warmer temperatures, clearer skies, and light winds in store. The bad news is we go have tonight and most of Thursday to get through with high winds and possible wintry mix first. Stay tuned for any changes to the weekend and windy forecast!

Neat time lapse from Grand Forks, ND this evening as a tornado warned storm approached the area. The warning was thankfully downgraded to a severe thunderstorm warning ahead of its arrival. #ndwx
