The main issue isn't simply buying cheap players, it's buying players whose profiles don't fit the manager's system. How this isn't grounds to relieve Wilcox of his duties is just another embarrassment of the INEOS era.
Legend Carrick is all they see as a coach he's shite.

Proper head-spinner, isn't it? Last season, this lot were supposedly title winners in waiting if Carrick had come through the door sooner. Fast forward to now, and suddenly they’re seen as awful.
The gymnastics his ex- colleagues and the English media are doing just to shield the manager because of what he did as a player more than a decade ago is ridiculous.
Anyone else just sitting back and enjoying the narrative switch?
Moments like this show why X is elite for exposing media nonsense. The idea that mainstream journalists are pushing Eddie Howe over a proven winner like Conte is laughably out of touch
You couldn't be more right! He's the man to fix the issue on the Pitch.
He's won multiple league titles
The Board should also look into Italian managers' Premier League records. Their record is insane, and the way they've won titles has been epic!
Top marks to Jason Wilcox. Masterclass after masterclass😎

A properly run elite club would have removed Jason Wilcox by now.
Since his appointment, United have continued to decline. The managerial decisions, recruitment strategy and lack of a clear football identity raise serious questions about his leadership.
Wilcox cannot keep overseeing failure while managers take the blame. Accountability must start at the top.

How Harry Kane went from being released by Arsenal’s academy for not being athletic enough to wining the Ballon d’Or with Bayern Munich.🤯

This was when I knew Carrick wasn’t the right man for the job and wouldn’t last long. I’m honestly still surprised he has a job. 😭

You have to question Manchester United's priorities when grand plans for a new stadium take center stage over a clear crisis on the pitch.
The appointments of Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox were supposed to change things but with the team still struggling, it is hard to see what impact they've actually had. The frustration from fans is totally justified. Instead of GLAZERS setting up a complicated, split-ownership deal, the owners should have just gone for a clean, full sale.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe initially promised to "put the Manchester back into Manchester United" and lead with genuine passion, but his actions so far raise serious questions.
Unless there is a real change at ownership level, it is tough to see how things improve under the current INEOS leadership.

Appoint Julian Negalsmann — prepare for another failure.
Appoint Eddie Howe — prepare for another failure.
Appoint Gareth Southgate — prepare for another failure.
Appoint Fabian Hürzeler — prepare for another failure.
Appoint Antonio Conte — back him properly without financial limitations and watch him rejuvenate Manchester United.
Conte is not another gamble, his records are everywhere. INEOS stop the gamble, sack Jason Wilcox. #MUFC
The key story right now is understanding why the "senior figures" have remained silent for so long
🚨Jason Wilcox reportedly emerged as one of the most influential voices during today’s Manchester United board meeting.
Wilcox is said to have distanced himself from the decision to appoint Michael Carrick, arguing that previous mistakes must now be addressed.
He is reportedly pushing for Eddie Howe as United’s next manager, while Christopher Vivell is believed to favour Julian Nagelsmann.
Other senior figures were said to have remained largely silent during the discussions.
My guess would be... Jason Wilcox is currently in there laying out the case for why Eddie Howe is the man to take us forward😭
