UTEP has received a $29.1 million gift from @myGECU to support enhancements to the Don Haskins Center and the Universityโ€™s athletics program. At a ceremony today celebrating the gift, @UTEPPresident Heather Wilson announced a new name for El Pasoโ€™s largest indoor venue: GECU Arena at the Don Haskins Center. The gift is the largest gift ever made to @UTEPAthletics and the second largest ever in University history. The announcement took place at GECU Arena at the Don Haskins Center, attended by Gregory Watters, GECU chairman of the board; Alex Rascรณn, GECU president and CEO; @utsystem Chancellor John Zerwas, MD; members of Coach Don Haskins family; UTEP President Heather Wilson and others.
