Our colleague @JonathanColmer is among the co-authors of a new chapter on climate policy evaluation in the United Nations Environment Programme's Emissions Gap Report 2026, released today.
The chance to keep global warming below 1.5°C with no overshoot is gone.
But urgent action can still limit the overshoot and bring warming back to 1.5°C by 2100.
Current policies, however, put the 🌎 on course for up to 2.8°C this century.

Congratulations to our colleague @emma_k_h and her coauthor, @NataliaHEmanuel, on the publication of their new book, In Person!
Today, In Person is available wherever books are sold! I couldn't have done it without @NataliaHEmanuel.
In grad school, we were randomly assigned to the same basement office. That accident led us to become friends and coauthors —- now of a book.
Congratulations to our colleague Charlie Holt on being elected Fellow of the Econometric Society!
