Welcome to Stephen Miller’s world. @StephenM 🔥
This is a man who takes no one’s shit and knows exactly what needs to be done.
Enjoy the fucking show. You wanted this. 👌
Two legends
Mel Brooks once recalled that Alfred Hitchcock sat beside him at the premiere of High Anxiety (1977). Throughout the screening, Hitchcock showed very little reaction, but he finally burst out laughing at the exact moment when the birds covered Mel Brooks in droppings in the scene parodying The Birds (1963).
After the film ended, Hitchcock quietly left without saying a word, leaving Mel Brooks worried that he might not have liked the movie. But not long afterward, Brooks received a gift from Hitchcock: a case of six bottles of 1961 Château Haut-Brion wine, accompanied by a letter that read:
My dear Mel,
What a splendid entertainment, one that should give you no anxieties of any kind.
I thank you most humbly for your dedication and I offer you further thanks on behalf of the Golden Gate Bridge.
With kindest regards and again my warmest congratulations.
Hitch.
