“Shauna wouldn't cheat on Jackie, she loves her and is obsessed with her” yeah that's exactly why she’d cheat. Yellowjackets is literally the ‘love manifests as hate and violence’ show and Shauna embodies that thesis. The second Shauna felt rejected, she’d lash out.

Sure it’s not uncommon for ‘donated by’ inscriptions to be included in these plaques, but the fact that’s the *only* thing on there and was funded and commissioned by Jackie’s own family is incredibly telling imo

Imo this comes down to Jackie being immensely insecure and jealous of Tai for a myriad of reasons. At this point she’s resentful of everyone but perhaps Tai most of all for being able to step up where she couldn’t for both the team and for Shauna

The one sided taijackie beef is always my favorite thing to watch because Jackie is out here convinced that tai is plotting against her, and tai is just trying to be a good friend “You’re plotting to steal Shauna away from me! 🤬 “Idk what you’re taking about? 😭🙏”

Tai is trying to offer an olive branch but is too shaken to be assertive as she would have before, like with Lottie at the start of the season. Even if she was, there’s a high chance Jackie would have still rejected her because she’s a wounded animal lashing out at everyone

Maybe she could have dragged her kicking and screaming back inside, I think with the right approach it was possible to help Jackie, but the tragedy of her death is that everyone’s respective insecurities wins out in the end, and so nothing is done about it

Genuinely you lose so much by boxing characters in to specific dynamics. Jackie was their captain! She has a fascinating relationship with all of her teammates that informs their respective arcs. You could write lengthy essays on every one, there’s so much there thematically
