Derrick (RANT) ✞

My bad I had to finish the break down.. @sarkodie feel free to kindly mention the names of the people who have disrespected you that I hang with. In your landlord mentality you have conveniently believed that you address my feelings anytime I have one right? Cool What could you possibly owe me. When you’re the one who calls me as you have clearly indicated.. ( no man is an island we all need each other though) And if situations were reversed I wouldn’t dare be the one to call you without a sincere apology.. Doing shows together has never been a problem irrespective of who called. My last BHIMFEST at the stadium Angel called chief that y’all wanted to come through I didn’t disagree.. There are videos that I have equally intentionally “bigged” you up. When it didn’t even matter in the moment. No need to twist your words, your videos are there to back your stance. WE cannot omit Accountability and Responsibility to the same issues that we seek to fix.. I don’t need to fck with you. I’m straight 🙏 “pun intended” Now let me Go and Face “real life issues” #GhanaMusicMatters

To the artiste: @sarkodie After your RAH show in the UK, I called you the next day to congratulate you and we spoke for 10 minutes+. After my OVO — you posted the second video on social media... Whatever message you meant to send across, only you can explain. After I made that factual tweet, I still went ahead to send you a message because you were posting some cryptic stuff. You called back immediately. I missed it, but I called you back after, and we spoke for more than an hour on industry, behaviors, and perspectives. You were very clear about how no artiste could be "forced" to uphold any form of principle. That, literally, in our industry, artistes must play along so far as it benefits them, and it cannot matter how, because we all care about different things. Which is evident in Video 1. Standing on just these 2 videos for now, I believe this tweet of yours has been equally considered. And you will agree that without PRINCIPLE, advice is an OPINION.
