Great day at PES! Not only did we provide small cohort student support services, we also received a #RiseUnited grant for $17,500 from @UnitedWayMerced for 600 Math Manipulative Bundles for every student at PES to support DL. #TogetherWeRise #PlanadaStrong #GoingTheExtraDistance

We must ensure that California is meeting the housing needs of our older adults. I am proud to be working alongside California State Treasurer Fiona Ma's Office on the HOPE Task Force, which will tackle this important issue. @fionama

CA will always defend the rights of our immigrant communities.
If ICE agents show up at your door, know your rights:
-You do not have to open the door—you have the right against unlawful searches.
-You have the right to speak to a lawyer.
-You have the right to remain silent.

.@ACCFB #CalEITC prevents hunger and poverty by boosting the earnings of low-income workers. Sign this petition to tell #CAleg to support a budget request to strengthen CalEITC for CA immigrant workers w/ ITINs: buff.ly/2IzSiZT #CaBudget #CA4All @GavinNewsom

INCLUDE the full #caleitc package - $$ for households with kids, aligning the EITC w/the minimum wage, $$ for those w/smaller credits, & ITIN filers - all of which makes CA more affordable for low-income working Californians. @CalBudgetCenter

Please consider submitting comment. The impact of this would be disastrous for families facing poverty who need access to basic supports.
With little notice, the Trump Administration is set to change the poverty line. What does it mean for Californians who use CalFresh, Medi-Cal, and other supports?

Mandy just spent time with Louisville's own @RepJohnYarmuth on Capitol Hill today to talk about policy important to kids and families in our community. We're asking Congress to #ExpandEITC to help workers keep more of what they earn. #UWAdvocate #VITAworks
