UPDATED NOTE: All the photos I post here are shot by me. Photography is my hobby, not my job, thus my partially anonymous profile (& I'm well aware of cancel culture). I make (shoot) real photos with real cameras (currently, Nikon Z8, Nikon Zf & Panasonic Lumix G9 II). I travel several times a year, so there will be a wide variety of locations & subjects.
I don't 'specialize' in any one type of photography. I'm more of a generalist & will make photos of anything I find interesting or beautiful. I don't create AI images & don't us AI for imaging. I do occasionally (rarely) use an AI assist tool in Adobe Lightroom while editing to remove a stray electric pole, wire or construction cone, etc in a shot, but that's still a real photo. Nearly EVERY photographer does that. It's not big secret.
As I mentioned, I'm well aware of cancel culture, so for now, I'll stay partially anonymous because I don't want people that don't like my comments trying to talk to my employer (but just wait until I retire😉...it won't be a concern of mine anymore). I support free speech & your right so say whatever you want to. Everyone else should also support my right to free speech.
There are tons of garbage accounts here on X, stealing other people's photos and posting them as their own or with no credit. I'm NOT one of those accounts. I am the creator/photographer/owner of ever image I post. I block all the fake accounts that try to follow me & you should too (accounts that try to be something they are not...like someone saying in the profile they're based in the U.S. or Europe, when they're really in Nigeria).
Pardon any typos if there are any that I overlook or have to go back & correct before the 1 hour edit window closes. I sometimes use speech to text conversion to write, for convenience (if using my phone to post), so in that case I'm more likely to overlook a mistake. Thanks for stopping by (if you're a real person and not a scam/fake/catfishing/or other garbage account). 😃😅
Joseph, Oregon. A beautiful little town at the base of the mountains. I had some good pancakes there. :-) The city of Joseph was named in honor of Chief Joseph (Hin-mah-too-yah-lat-kekt) of the Nez Perce people

My 2024 trip to Egypt was absolutely fascinating. Two photos here from Abu Simbel in the far south of Egypt. It's straight out of a movie! Abu Simbel is an ancient Egypt historic site with two massive rock-cut temples in the village of Abu Simbel. Statues cut into the rock on the outside, then you walk in to this and some other chambers a bit rather in. If I remember right, one temple for the king and one for the queen (the photos here are the one for the king - again if I recall correctly). 2024 - Nikon Z8 with Z 24-120mm f/4 S lens.
Dio wasn't the most attractive rocker, but the dude could wail! 😃 Remember, besides his solo career, he was also in Black Sabbath with Ozzy Osbourne and the band Rainbow.

New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe. I didn't see that woman sitting there, or I did and ignored her being in the scene, but when I crop in I can see she's looking straight at me. Maybe she thought I was getting a shot of her.

There's an alien spaceship McDonald's in Roswell, NM. I have to say, the service wasn't all that great and it was kinda dirty inside...but, you know, it's McDonald's so I wasn't expecting a whole lot :-) 2026 - Nikon Z8
The grass thought he was being helpful, but the support needed by the honeysuckle soon overwhelmed him. :-)

Supposedly this new camera strap from WANDRD ships next month (for backers of the campaign). I got in on this deal because I wanted to see if I can replace my Peak Design straps with this new strap. We'll see. So far I like the idea of it better than my PD Slide straps: kickstarter.com/projects/wan…
Winter shadow self. :-) I usually wear a hat like that when I'm out making photos. It keeps the sun/light out of my eyes (I wear glasses, so I can't press my eye directly against the viewfinder).

Some wonderful Virginia Creeper at Hacienda de Los Martinez Museum in Taos, New Mexico (from this summer, 2026). I've never seen such lush and vigorous Virginia Creeper...and it was growing in such a dry environment. I assume they water it well though :-).

Summary of what happened if you're not familiar: The Battle of Shiloh, also known as the Battle of Pittsburg Landing, was a major engagement in the American Civil War fought in Hardin County, Tennessee, on April 6–7, 1862. I miss summer already. I like the warm walks in my field and down this path I keep mowed. I've mentioned it before, but I LOVE grasses. Wild in the fields or ornamental for the flower bed. Grass is strong, enduring, tolerant, very forgiving and always graceful. Technically, this photo was late spring (early June)...but that's close enough and I always think of June as summer anyway.
