i think parts of kyros’ story (sugar making a mistake and giving him free will/being unable to completely obliterate him from people’s memories due to a PHYSICAL object and oral tale) are VERY similar to some void century events, i just can’t prove it

No, they really aren’t. From a character design perspective his most recognizable facial features are his long nose, his circular eyes + eyelashes, and his rectangular face shape. Even his eyebrows are more iconic than the lips. They could have easily done something like this:

It's an iconic trait of Usopp that makes up his beautiful face. Removing it will ruin a large amount of appeal that he has. Usopp isn't meant to portray the "black dude" he's supposed to portray a "big mouthed liar" which is further completed by his long nose.

Ussop being a liar is definitely part of his character but let’s not act like black characters aren’t typically given those donut lips by artists who don’t know how to draw black people. (Ussop as we know IS black). The NOSE is supposed to show that he’s a liar, not the lips.
