Starlink bosses met President Museveni to get his blessings or green card to open an internet business here that will provide cheaper and faster Satellite linked Internet to Ugandans, including those in remote areas. Previously, they were uncomfortable with the government policy of selling a percentage of shares to the public before opening here. They want to operate solely without any binding rules or policies. Once they hit the market, @mtnug @Airtel_Ug , Simba, and Savana internet providers will be sent into a dash to drop their high data charges which are the highest in the region. Starlink is owned by @elonmusk
