Last week, Veterans in the Community Living Center were treated to a Halloween party. Veterans dressed up, played games, and enjoyed refreshments.
As we observe Veterans Day (November 11) and Veteran & Family Recognition Month, we proudly displayed this wreath today as a symbol of our unwavering commitment to the mission of serving Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Allen McClymonds for presenting the wreath. Mr. McClymonds is also Butler County's Veteran of the Year recipient. Congratulations!
The displaying of the wreath represents our enduring devotion and gratitude for those who have sacrificed in service to our nation. While the wreath remains on display throughout the month of November, our mission extends far beyond these 30 days. Every day, we honor and serve those who have worn the uniform and the loved ones who stand beside them. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication inspire our work and reinforce our commitment to providing the care, support, and respect they have earned.
To all Veterans, past and present, thank you for your faithful service and selfless dedication to our great nation. We are honored to serve you today and every day.
Our VA nurses care for Veterans every day, but did you know that many also volunteer their time outside of work?
The following VA nurses served as members of the medical team for Mission 18 of @Honor Flight Pittsburgh: Bonnie Ziegler, Danielle Weisenstein, Kelly Fulmer, and Frank Fulmer. Karen Dunn, also a nurse, served as a bus leader.
We are proud that our VA nurses extend their compassion and dedication to Veterans beyond the walls of the VA.
