We are heading down the Great Ocean Road to Warrnambool in February.
If you or someone you know would make a good volunteer go to vccem.org.au/training to find out more and register.
As we head towards the end of year we would like to highlight the amazing work of our volunteers who have been requested to attend more events in 2024 than in 2022 & 2023 combined!
VCC EM - Providing compassion in time of crisis.
It was great to have an opportunity last week to film a segment with Victoria Police talking about the role of VCC EM. This will be used to assist new Sergeants within Victoria Police better understand what we do, and, how we can work with them, to better support communities.

On #InternationalVolunteersDay we thank all our volunteers for the work they do year round to support Victorian Communities following emergencies and disasters providing "Compassion in times of Crisis."
Following another incident on Bourke St yesterday, there is a possibility of heightened media attention of past events, potentially triggering recollections and causing additional distress for those who were either directly involved or affected by yesterdays or past events.
We look forward to hearing the outcome of the review and how we can all continue to be consulted as a collective
The state government’s decision to cut consultations with emergency services volunteers could worsen morale in the sector and diminish disaster responses, volunteers claim. theage.com.au/politics/victo…
