Starting a new Chart Series " #BasetoBreakout "
The idea is to find names that show exceptional base quality and then demonstrate real urgency to move.
Parameters :
- Quality and orderliness of the consolidation.
- Building Position at Lower Side of Base ( Catching Young Trend )
- How price behaved while building the base.
- What volume did during the breakout.
- How the stock behaved after the initial expansion.
- Whether it sustained a strong trend without repeatedly losing the 20MA.
The bigger objective is to identify names that delivered 30–100+% moves while staying above the 20MA throughout the major part of the move.
I've already shared hundreds of examples around Flags. Now I am Ready to Do this again for folks who want to sit on Bigger % move.
Note: I trade stocks that are already going up.For my long-side trading, the core idea is simple:Buy High. Sell Higher.
So, across all of the names we study, there is already persistent prior buying and an established upward trend.I'm not interested in finding stocks that are falling and trying to predict a reversal. That's the foundation of this entire chart series. Momentum strategies are fundamentally built around buying relative strength and participating in established trends rather than trying to call bottoms.
Suggestions for additional parameters are welcome. Let's build the study together.
#ATHERENERG NOV FUT : Long @ 1675.2 , Stop 1664
Risk : 0.4%
#ATHERENERG NOV FUT
Up 4%+ and moving fast.
Risk = 0%. Stops trailed to Cost, position secured.
Now we sit on our hands and trail. 🎯
A 6% Day 1 move in Futures isn’t just a good start ,it’s a massive structural win. Positioned correctly, that single move swings 3–4% of the total portfolio bottom line.
You don’t trade Futures expecting 20–40% stock-like runs. The game here is asymmetry and leverage control. 8–15% in the underlying instrument is a full target run.

The Nifty IT theme is building serious relative strength. Strong, synchronized bounces across large-cap IT and crucially, price is sustaining above key short-term moving averages.
Technically set up to outperform . Keep your watchlists updated 🎯

Got a nice gap up today.
Been getting a flood of DMs asking if my stop got hit. I placed my stop at the Daily Low (DL), which gave it just 1.1% room from my average buy.
The trade is very much on.
#PERSISTENT Nov Fut Long @ 5900 with 1% Stop .

A few selective playbook setups caught my eye today , clean risk-reward profiles with tight, manageable stops.
My focus stays anchored to the process: run the EOD preparation, keep the watchlist sharp, and let price action confirm the next leg.We don't control where the market goes, but we control our risk and our preparation. Let's see how these setups build over the next few sessions
Some entries & risk are marked .
Right now, clean technical setups are virtually non-existent across markets. The few actionable opportunities we've seen recently have been isolated to the IPO space (like #bonfiglioli , #FusionCX , #SMT etc).
Gameplan: If this current market bounce holds and builds momentum, broader base formations and setups will naturally begin to appear. Opportunities will flood back in , our job right now is simply to stay patient and wait for quality names to establish clear structures.

+5% in just two trading sessions.
Sometimes, the most lucrative opportunities lie directly against prevailing market consensus.
Generating outsized alpha rarely requires predicting the crowd ,it requires the conviction to execute contrarian setups, paired with the discipline to manage risk across multiple iterations.

Golden rule of trading:
Never size up for binary macro surprises unless your favorite hobby is speedrunning years of hard-earned gains back to account zero in one trading session.
Let’s be real about what we’re sitting through right now this is easily one of the toughest, most brutal phases to trade.
High-conviction setups are practically non-existent. It’s giving me serious 2018 vibes, where the market just dragged everyone through a long, agonizing time correction. Even during that chop starting back in September ’25, we at least had solid bull flags and actionable setups to work with. Right now? I’m barely seeing a single chart worth risking real capital on.
I’ll admit it: sitting in cash is agonizing for me. If you’re a full-time trader and a natural risk-taker like I am, sitting on your hands feels like torture. But forcing trades in a ghost town is how accounts get destroyed.
I’m currently sitting on a ~2% drawdown myself, mostly from trying to force a few futures plays and contrarian bounces. It’s annoying, but it’s completely manageable. To put that in perspective: a solid 10% move on a 20% position size wipes that right off the board before fees.
I’m not saying clawing back losses is a breeze. The point is: a small, controlled drawdown shouldn't panic you into making revenge trades to get back to even.
If you stuck to your stops through this chop, give yourself some credit—you should be feeling confident in your discipline. If you slipped up and bag-handled a bad trade, stop beating yourself up. Take the hit, study the mistake, and lock in the discipline so you don't repeat it next time. That’s all that matters.
We don’t need to hero-trade every market cycle. Right now, our job is simple: preserve capital, mark up charts, refine our playbooks, and stay sharp. When the tide turns and real momentum returns, we need to have the dry powder and mental clarity ready to hit it hard.
If anyone is feeling the heat right now or just needs to bounce some ideas off someone, my DMs are open.
Stay patient. Our goal isn't to beat every market environment , it’s to survive the bad ones so we can print in the right ones.
Finally , the ground-breaking, revolutionary use case we’ve all been breathlessly waiting for.
Truly a game-changer for freeloaders and full-timers alike.

Privileged to announce that as of today, I have officially made my ETF Position risk free the same day .
A truly unprecedented milestone for both my portfolio and modern economic theory.

If you’re just getting started , count yourself fortunate. These markets are noisy, fast, and unforgiving enough to teach you the real lessons early—if you’re willing to pay attention. Most people only learn them after the capital is already gone.
Build an edge before you build a position size. That means real work: understanding why a name is moving, what the setup actually is, and what has to happen for you to be wrong. Know your process cold. Which names are choppy and should be left alone? Where is the asymmetry actually sitting? Where is the risk defined, and where is it open-ended? If you can’t answer those before you enter, you’re not trading a process—you’re hoping.
One thing has to be non-negotiable in your head: risk management, and the willingness to take the stop. Losses are not a failure of the system. They are the cost of doing business. No serious operation runs without expenses, and trading is no different. The difference between people who last and people who don’t is almost never the quality of their ideas. It’s whether they can cut the bad ones quickly and keep the damage small.
When you’re wrong, be wrong fast and be wrong small. Size so that a normal stop doesn’t matter. Review the trade afterward so the same mistake doesn’t get a second chance at your capital. Protect the downside first. The upside takes care of itself if you’re still in the game with a clear head and intact capital.

Stopped out today.
And of course, this is exactly where the price decided to reverse :)
Few rules I follow when buying breakout stocks for swing trading:
• I rarely buy a stock after it has closed green for 2–3 days in a row.
• A red previous day often makes the risk more interesting.
• A big rejection recently is usually a red flag for me.
• 99% of the time, I want to participate on Day 1 of the swing.
I prefer buying when the move is starting, not when everyone can already see it.
