Estoy seguro de que pilotazos como Bearman o Antonelli aprendieron muchísimo en sus temporadas más exitosas en F4, FRECA o F3, pero pongo la mano en el fuego por que aquel año con un PREMA muy por debajo de lo esperado en F2 los hizo mucho mejores pilotos.

Good morning.
Helmut Koinigg who was killed #OnThisDay(aged 25) in 1974 at Watkins Glenn, United States Grand Prix ,in only his second Grand Prix start for Team Surtees.
Koinigg's car suffered a suspension failure at turn 7, pitching it head-on into the Armco barrier. The car passed underneath the top portion, which remained intact, decapitating Koinigg and killing him instantly. Koinigg's accident was reminiscent of the death of Formula One driver François Cevert on the other side of the circuit in turns 2/4 the previous year.
Koinigg was born in Vienna and like several other Formula One drivers,his first racing car was a Mini Cooper which he had purchased from Niki Lauda.
He raced in touring cars, Formula Vee and Formula Ford before a period in sports car racing. He subsequently found the finance to buy a seat with Scuderia Finotto driving their Brabham at his home Grand Prix in 1974, and although he failed to qualify, this led to a contract with Surtees for the last two races of the season.
Koinigg finished 10th in the 1974 Canadian Grand Prix,the following race was at Watkins Glen,where lost his life.

Terrible start. No pit speed limit. Final timed pit stop. How fast Mears gained on him. Terrible "push" last 10 laps. They drove to the limit but would never wreck each other. Bump way low in Turn 3 final lap.
