We all know Messi is a great player. But the obvious bias by fifa and commercial interests to elevate his status and put him on a pedestal stinks. That doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate his brilliance. I do. I’ve just been around long enough to see so many other of the greatest players. And none of them behaved like Messi and his team mates when they lose or have a grudge. The way they behaved in their World Cup final humiliation by Spain was shameful. JG VIDEO: youtu.be/erwimdm-5BU?is=Kvi4…

Seven years ago today Frank’s Law was introduced in Scotland following the personal crusade by the widow of former Manchester United player Frank Kopel who died in 2014 suffering with dementia. Amanda Kopel has consequently enabled more than 70,000 people in Scotland to receive financial support from the state. Sadly, her husband never benefitted from Frank’s Law after he was tragically diagnosed with dementia in 2009 and died five years later. Frank's Law was implemented in Scotland on April 1, 2019, extending free personal care to people under 65 with debilitating conditions, regardless of age. Championed by Amanda Kopel following her husband death, the law ensures those assessed as needing personal care-such as washing, dressing, and feeding-receive it for free, benefiting thousands. Frank Kopel, who was inducted to the Dundee United Hall of Fame in 2011, started his career with Manchester United as a schoolboy in 1964. He made 12 appearances for Sir Matt Busby’s side, including a European appearance against Anderlecht, before moving to Blackburn Rovers in March 1969. He was signed by Dundee United manager Jim McLean on New Year's Day 1972. At the Tannadice club he became a mainstay at right back - making 407 appearances - and won back to back Scottish League Cups in 1979 and 1980, the club's first major trophies. FRANK’S LAW Key Implementation Details: Effective Date: April 1, 2019. Scope: Removes age restrictions for free personal care, covering individuals under 65, previously restricted to those 65 or older. Coverage: Includes help with feeding, bathing, toileting, and managing behavior. Funding: Backed by over £30 million in new funding to Scottish local authorities. (@JohnGubba)
