May is Chip Your Pet Month! Collars and tags can fall off or get lost, but microchips are a permanent form of identification that helps reunite you with your pet if they go missing. The procedure is safe, quick, and can be done during a routine vet visit.

Adding to the energy of the event, DJ Greens played music, and hot dogs were served by one of Cottonwood’s best food trucks, Dog Town USA.

Our 3rd Annual In the Dog House fundraising event was held on April 26 at the VVHS! Local personalities agreed to spend time in a pen and solicit donations to bail themselves out. Funds raised through donations, raffle ticket sales, and food truck proceeds are still coming in.

May 4th is Mayday for Mutts! A day to celebrate the unique charm of mixed-breed dogs! Did you know that mutts tend to have fewer genetic issues and longer lifespans?  Whether you have a mutt at home, or thinking about adopting, today’s the day to show some extra love!

It’s Specially Abled Pets Day! Our pets with disabilities show their love and resilience every day! Today, we highlight these amazing animals who might get overlooked due to their unique needs.

It’s National Purebred Dog Day! From playful companions to hardworking K-9s, each breed was developed over generations to have specialized talents, traits, and even temperaments. Let’s give a special thank you to our purebred dogs as they continue to enrich our lives!
