A hacker dumped $23,000 EVA ($1M) stolen from a Brazilian exchange directly into Evervalue's Vault Boost.
Vault Boost is a "vault" specifically designed to absorb large price drops, containing a large reserve of WBTC that can be withdrawn if the user burns the EVA.
A trial by fire where contracts and tokenomics were thoroughly tested just took place, and the market price didn't even flop.

Update: the Burn Vault in action
Less than an hour ago, the Mercado Bitcoin attacker sold the EVA taken from the exchange into the EVA/WBTC pool on Arbitrum. The price in satoshis dropped below the Burn Vault Boost floor for a few minutes and then came back. And we want to walk through it, because it was exactly what we described in our previous note, playing out in real life.
What happened, step by step
1. The sale pushed the market price below the 54,416 sats the Boost pays per EVA burned.
2. At that point, buying EVA on the market and burning it in the Boost was worth more than the price paid. Arbitrageurs did exactly that, within minutes.
3. Around 23,000 EVA were burned in the Boost and left circulation forever. The Boost paid around 12.5 wBTC for them, as it was designed to do.
4. With the arbitrage demand, the market price returned to the floor level almost instantly.
What this means
Two days ago the whole market was scared: the biggest hack in history at Binance, then Mercado Bitcoin, and a sale of almost 30,000 EVA hanging over our pool. Today the sale happened, the floor held and the price is back. The Burn Vault Boost gave arbitrageurs the right incentive at the right moment, and they turned a forced sale into a burn of 23,000 EVA, with no direct intervention from the team. This is what we mean when we say EVA is backed: the model was tested in real conditions and worked as designed. It is something everyone who believed in it can be proud of.
The Boost burn price remains at 54,416 sats. The Boost held over 43 wBTC before the event and now holds around 30 wBTC, which is replenished daily with the wBTC that mining deposits into the vault. The Burn Vault Core, with over 380 wBTC, is untouched.
Circulating supply fell by 23,000 EVA. Every EVA that leaves circulation means the future mining flow is spread across fewer tokens.
And one detail for those who follow the numbers: the market price is now sitting practically on top of the Boost burn price. The gap between what EVA trades for and what the vault guarantees for it has rarely been this small.
All burns are recorded in the Boost contract and verifiable on-chain.
On Mercado Bitcoin
Client balances remain recorded at the exchange, which has publicly stated that clients suffered no losses. We remain in contact with Mercado Bitcoin and will post here as soon as there is confirmation on the reopening of withdrawals.

The EVA Locker is here!
A new way to take part in the EverValue ecosystem and earn rewards in Bitcoin!
With the EVA Locker, you can lock your EVA tokens for 3, 6, 12 or 24 months and earn wBTC rewards coming from EverValue’s Bitcoin mining.
- Accumulate rewards in wBTC.
- Multipliers from 1x to 4x, depending on the period you choose.
- Claim your rewards whenever you want, without touching your locked EVA.
The longer the lock period, the higher the multiplier applied to your share of the rewards!
And the project has already taken the first step: EverValue locked 10,000 EVA for 24 months in the EVA Locker!
By November 15, the project will lock another 1,000,000 EVA in the Locker, without receiving rewards. Those EVA stay locked and out of circulation, and the wBTC rewards go entirely to the community.
