just vibe-coded a $10bn SaaS killer this weekend started thinking about the 7 months of > getting SOC 2 > cold outreach > demos > stakeholder calls > security questionnaires > contract negotiations and maintaining software nobody’s agreed to buy yet may have misunderstood the moat anyway gonna vibe another startup to take my mind off it

microsoft kept Internet Explorer around for 27 years.. now, peak of the ai race: > github keeps going down > azure inference is struggling to keep up > and their own models are still playing catch-up naturally, they've concluded the problem is having too many engineers
I don't know how to measure when things went wrong at Microsoft, but I think removing the audio mixer is a solid landmark
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Recent versions of Windows have a volume mixer. x.com/shanselman/sta…

if your 'company brain' doesn't need a scalpel, it's just a database

scalpel: cut a source out of retrieval forceps: pull a poisoned memory into a specimen dish suture: stitch it back in if you were wrong

ai has more emotion in its voice than I do

the internet might actually be safe again hackers have so many options they're probably suffering from decision paralysis
Hey Its Friday * OpenCode Hacked * php screwed the internet * node said hold my beer * ruby said hold my beer * curl said hold my beer and eMudhra held that beer * Railway said hold my beer * OpenCode again helluva week and I only mentioned literally 1/2 of what I know about

starting to think it makes you 10x more distracted
hot take: AI does not make you 10x faster.

ai customer support is horrible and still better than 90% of human customer support

a guy followed me and dm’d asking if i'd support his launch coming up love supporting others checked out his product, said hell yeah, even sent him a screenshot of me adding his launch to my calendar he left me on read, unfollowed me a week later, then dm’d me on launch day asking for the upvote and share..
When someone DMs asking me to repost their product promo for free, I say: "Thanks, but no." Not "Sorry, but no." You asked. I declined. No apology needed. My timeline is my product too. Don't lecture me "founders helping founders." I help supportive friends without being asked.

InPublic is live 🚀 Most builder bios link to a Linktree or a Notion page. Neither shows how the build is actually going. 📊 InPublic is one page for everything you build in public: - your projects and their status - MRR, users, customers - goals with progress - milestones and updates 🎨 The fun part is the look. 16 styles: terminal, paper, blueprint, retro OS, newspaper, synthwave and more. Pick your own colors and fonts. And every block can have its own style. New styles, fonts and colors will keep coming, so there will be more and more ways to make it yours. Two more things: - your link unfolds into a card with your numbers when you share it on X - every milestone gets its own card, ready to post 🆓 It's free. You can build your profile without signing up and only sign in to publish. Want an example? My profile is linked in my bio. I mixed styles block by block on purpose, to show what's possible. Yours can be as calm or as loud as you want. Open to feedback and ideas, reply here or DM me. Any support means a lot 🙏 inpublic.page

nominating @niuniu_dev for most likely to start a podcast since connecting > every day is a little more wholesome > big brands have started reaching out (mostly to ask for payment) > my neighbour's dog and I have mutually agreed to an adoption. neighbour is yet to be informed.
buymeagift.lol flopped so hard i turned it into an awards show 💀 introducing the internet's most useless awards. nominate your friends for the dumbest titles imaginable and let the internet vote. i've already crowned myself "Certified Vibe Coder" currently #1 with ONE vote 😭 buymeagift.lol think your friend deserves this title more than me? nominate them.

started my career in open source so i'm very comfortable spending 6 months building something and giving it away for free trying to unlearn that before it becomes a family tradition

if I take two days off building so much changes in tech, that I feel like I'm maintaining legacy software
