SO THE CAT’S FINALLY OUT OF THE BAG! 👀🇬🇧 The Official Charts Company has officially announced the launch of the Official UK Rap Chart, in partnership with BBC Radio 1Xtra! This is something I’ve been fortunate enough to work on behind the scenes alongside some brilliant people over the past few months, and I’m genuinely proud to finally see it become a reality. For years, UK Rap has been one of the most influential genres in British music, and now we’ll have our very own Official Chart dedicated to recognising the artists and records making an impact in our scene. The chart will be based on UK sales and streams, with Kenny Allstar revealing the rankings every Friday evening on BBC Radio 1Xtra, starting November 6th. A massive thank you to Eric and everybody at the Official Charts Company, alongside the BBC Radio 1Xtra team and everyone else who’s helped bring this together. For me, this is bigger than just another chart. It’s about documenting our culture, celebrating our artists and giving the next generation another platform to have their achievements recognised. A massive moment for UK Rap, and I’m grateful OpinionatedUK has been able to play a part in making it happen ❤️📈
