To be honest, when the topic of why none of us grandkids have kids yet came up, I chimed in and asked why no one’s questioning the fact that we’re all in therapy—openly or quietly—trying to heal from their parenting. And whenever we bring it up, they pull the ‘respect your elders’ card or the classic ‘are you trying to unalive us?’ followed by ‘we did our best’.
