Averages 4.8 Offensive Rebounds per game. Okongwu is only averaging 5.6 total rebounds per game. Offensive Rebounds mean second chance points. Id rather try to trade Okongwu and CJ. CJ has shot well, but is looking about out of gas. Shot attempts way down. 20 mins last night.
Should Atlanta Make A Push For Domantas Sabonis? The 3× All-Star and 2× All-NBA selection is averaging 19.0 PPG | 16.5 RPG | 7.3 APG early in 2026-27. At 30, Sabonis offers elite rebounding, efficient interior scoring, and high-level playmaking from the center position. Pairing him with Jalen Johnson could give Atlanta one of the NBA’s most versatile frontcourts, improving second-chance production, half-court execution, and offensive efficiency. The question: Is Sabonis the missing piece that elevates Atlanta into legitimate Eastern Conference contention, or would his $45M+ salary, defensive limitations, and potential acquisition cost outweigh the benefits? Hawks fans, are you making that call?

Ill know WNBA has made it when I dont have to click the "More Sports" tab on ESPN to find it. MLB, MMA, NBA, Mens College Basketball, College Football and Soccer are 1st page.

I was curious how Gervon Dexter Sr. has been compared to Jeffery Simmons this season. Gervon Dexter Sr. Pressures - 24 Sacks - 2 Hits - 4 Hurries - 18 Win% - 15.8 Jeffery Simmons Pressures - 24 Sacks - 4 Hits - 6 Hurries - 14 Win% - 14.3

Okongwu is giving us poor bench numbers from the starting lineup.
Replying to @Dawg4Hawks
Being in shape doesnt help him bang with bigs, but being 255 and stronger than he is now, would. Hes only shooting 43% from the field and 20% from 3 while averaging 9 pts 5 rebs. That is a problem. He averaged 15pts and 8 rebs last season.
25
Actually he was listed at 6'9 245 at 19 yrs old. And, he hasnt got any bigger in 6 years. You expect a 240 pound 19 year old to get bigger and stronger.

Whats frustrating to me is that Okongwu's Draft profile has him listed as 6'9 245 at 20 yrs old. 5 years later hes still listed at 240. He hasnt put in the work to get bigger and stronger. He should be 255 and muscled up. But, he looks the exact same.

Why is Devin Booker being listed under the OKC stats on ESPN? He is listed as 1 GP. He had 3 pts for the Suns in 34 minutes when the Suns played OKC. Is this a joke? Has a star by his name denoting "midseason trade"
43
I wonder what this is about? Naz Reid had 7 pts 6 rebs and only 1 turnover in 13 minutes.
"Unfortunately, (Naz Reid) didn't meet our standards in the first half, and at halftime we made the decision that he wouldn't play in the second half. But I look forward to him meeting those standards come next game." — Charles Lee (h/t @HornetsReddit)

Hardaway and Andrew Wiggins came into the game 6-37 from 3. Tonight they were 6-10.
Man, I hope the Hawks dont lose tonight. The Heat are not going to lose every game. They are gonna win eventually. They are shooting 30.6% from 3 as a team on the season. If they pop off for 50% from 3 tonight, the Hawks fan base will not be able to process it.

Id rather start the season with a difficult schedule and have the fanbase overreact, than start the season with easy games and have the fanbase overreact.

At least the Wizards lost and trae was 3 for 12 and 1-7 from 3.

Going back to last season, Okongwu has 1 double digit rebound game over his last 29 games.
Onyeka hasnt had a single game where hes gotten double digit rebounds this season. If were going to run an undersized lineup from 1-3… then you cant run a 6’8 starting Center. This simply isnt going to work for 82 games and into the playoffs

Jalen shooting 41.2% FG for the season. Okongwu shooting 43.1% Neither have been below 48% their entire career.
33
Only 20 minutes for CJ tonight. And, Jalen, now shooting 41.2% from the field. Hasnt been less than 48.9% his entire career.
43
Flemings has 15 pts on 6 for 8 shooting.
43
Landale has 10 pts 6 rebs in 16 minutes. Okongwu has 6 pts 2 rebs in 20 minutes.
Onyeka don’t need to start over jock landale if we being honest…

Domantas Sabonis this season. But, yall preferred Okongwu and didnt think Sabonis could help the team.
