We love this! 🐾 Have a watch of our fantastic vet, Olivia, answering your questions about pets for #PostcodeLotteryPets 🥰 which did you find most interesting? 💡
Our pets have made us all ask some strange (& silly) questions over time - but how often do we get to ask them to a vet? 🐶🐱 We decided to ask @PDSA_HQ vet Olivia some of our best head-scratchers! 🤔 First up: Can pets have accents? 😆 #PostcodeLotteryPets

This brings back memories of arriving to help a 'cat' that someone thought had been hit by a car- and finding out it was a pile of leaves.🍃 The traffic had already stopped, so I picked them up and carried them off the road. Fortunately the leaves needed no further treatment.
We recently had contact from someone who found a baby hedgehog and was worried about it, they popped out to investigate and offer food....to a clump of moss! This opened up a flood of mistaken identity stories in the office so we thought we'd ask for yours to raise a smile! 🦔🔍
I was lucky enough to be able to share Daniella's story with some aspiring vet student this afternoon- she's such an inspiration! Congratulations!

Our final speaker for the #PAW2021 webinar is @PDSA_HQ’s Richard Hooker who has been talking about the pandemic’s impact on PDSA and the vet sector. A huge shout out to all vet teams out there-who have continued to care for pets despite restrictions, lockdowns and challenges.

Fantastic to hear from @VetDannii @BritishVets that @PDSA_HQ’s #PAW2021 findings show that preventive care during the pandemic has overall shown no significant change.

Kevin McPeake is discussing the impact of the pandemic on pet behaviour for @PDSA_HQ’s #PAW2021 webinar. 22% of dog owners reported that their dogs have shown new behaviours since March 2020- and many of these could be indicative of stress @FABClinicians @EdinburghUni @TheBVBA

Continuing @PDSA_HQ #PAW2021 webinar, @86Josephine @BVNA has been looking at pet acquisition during the pandemic. The Report found that significantly more people got their pet from abroad during the pandemic compared to pre-pandemic owners.

Our first speaker, Chris Laurence, is discussing @PDSA_HQ’s #PAW2021’s findings on pet population. Despite widespread media reports of a pet boom, our robust findings show that there’s been no significant change in the population in recent years.

Could the veterinary profession could be facing a #behavioural pandemic? The 2021 @PDSA_HQ Animal Wellbeing (PAW) Report revealed a third of all dogs & cats bought during the #COVID‑19 crisis are showing signs of issues caused by a lack of socialisation. vettimes.co.uk/news/first-ai…

With heatwave coming this weekend don't forget to plan ahead for your dogs, especially when travelling. Sadly most service stations aren't dog friendly, so to avoid leaving Kirk in the car I try to bring a friend on road trips meaning he can stretch his legs if I need to stop.
#DidYouKnow When it’s 22C outside, the temperature inside a car can reach 47C within an hour 🌡️ Don't leave your dog in a car in hot weather, even if it's for a quick trip to the supermarket #DogsDieInHotCars #heatwave @thebsava
