It's clear the #WordPress world needs a change. So I wrote a post about exactly that:
Breaking the Status Quo: A vision for a new WordPress era

I've been noticing a trend with @fluentforms support: I've reported at least 2 bugs. First they delay for 2-8 months, then they inform me that the behavior is actually a feature or won't be fixed. Frustrating to say the least.
Google just fed me this news item when I opened a new tab in Chrome. What’s next, a David Fincher movie?

Two of the people I respect the most in WordPress are quoted on this post. @jonoalderson and @jdevalk They have ZERO influence on Matt yet have contributed so much to #WordPress via @yoast and now individually - I believe them, when they say, what Matt has done will do irreparable damage to our ecosystem. @photomatt turn access back on now. You have demonstrated your power - now its time to demonstrate restraint and get round a table and quickly. Without doing further damage to the reputation of our beloved WordPress or your legacy. fastcompany.com/91198361/the…
At this stage, I’m starting to wonder if we’ll start hearing from whistleblowers at Wordpress.org/Automattic. Heavy-handed tactics seem to result in such behavior from staff. #wpdrama

For me, this #WCUS was one of the best #WordCamps I've ever attended. If you were involved in the organisation / execution of the event in any capacity, thank you so very much. Remarkable.

Very negative vibe. Kind of a bummer to end #WCUS with this dark tone. Folks leaving the room, supporting the speakers who are asking for more positivity.

Last chance to meet with us at #WCUS! It’s the final day, so catch a live demo of #JetBackup for #WordPress and discover how we can revolutionize your backup game. Don’t miss out! 🙌
Love this page-level, accessible color selector that changes BG and text color at once. #WCUS

REALLY stoked about the upcoming changes to the WordPress mobile app. REST API support, custom post types, and native block editing experience are much-needed upgrades to the ecosystem. Mobile is so underutilized and I think it’s one of WordPress’ biggest weaknesses.

ALT Starbucks coffee cup beside a MacBook laptop. On the screen is a Twitter feed showing a MichelleAndMe selfie. A WCUS badge displaying "Michelle Frechette, StellarWP, Speaker, Sponsor" is laying on the keyboard.
