Please attend my hands-on "Advanced Visio Skills for Business Analysts" workshop at BBC 2024 even if you don't have Visio! Microsoft has generously provided #Visio license that run in any browser on any device -- both Macs and PCs! #BBCConf buildingbusinesscapability.c…

Please join me to learn all about the features and capabilities of Visio for the web. New features are being added all the time: layers, shape data, and much more. pmbaconferences.com/global-f… #psbaglobal

TOMORROW! There will be a ton of value in this event that costs you nothing to attend. My presentation about getting started with Power BI (based on a client project) is only 2.5% of the potential value for you. Why 2.5%? Because there are 40 sessions! collabdays.org/2023-ne

I'll be presenting two projects I completed for a theme park operator. (I can't tell you who it is... but you might guess!) Live demos of #DataVisualization using #Visio and #PowerBI Join me next week at Project Summit/Business Analyst World Boston pmbaconferences.com/boston/

There's still time to register for this event on the 21st: Eight parallel tracks with 41 speakers so you're bound to find multiple sessions of interest: data/data viz, Power platform, M365, Viva. Pick a Microsoft tech topic and it's probably on the agenda. cdne.link/registration

I've contributed some ideas to a LinkedIn article on Business Intelligence, primarily to ensure people know that #Visio is a definite contender for BI, either by itself or in conjunction with #PowerBI. Please take a look and let me know your thoughts: linkedin.com/advice/0/what-t…

I am very grateful to have been awarded as an MVP again this year. It is a fabulous community of people and the dialog with marketing, development, and product management teams at Microsoft is amazing.

TOMORROW I'm delivering a webcast-"Visualizing data in context for a theme park operator"-for @IIBA members. my.iiba.org/portal/s/communi… to learn how #Visio and #PowerBI put data in the hands of front-line workers. Don't run a theme park? You'll learn techniques you can use anyway!

I'm running a workshop next week at Building Business Capability: "Kanban revealed! Discover the power of Kanban by playing this board game." Please join me! @BBCCapability #BBCConf - via #Whova event app

Heading for the airport now. Tomorrow I'll be describing the data visualizations I've created for a theme park operator (whose name you'd probably recognize!) to bring data to frontline workers. #Visio and #powerbi make it possible and can do the same for you.

I'm excited to travel to the Twin Cities for my first presentation of the new year. Because who wouldn't be excited to travel to MSP in January?!? But seriously, I am looking forward to describing how #Visio and #PowerBI are helping a theme park operator. @M365TwinCities #m365tc

Need tips for using Visio more effectively? I've updated my most frequently watched #Visio course -- check it out on LinkedIn Learning! I've made it free for 24 hours from the time you start watching when you use this link: linkedin.com/posts/shelmers_…

After 6 pres. in 5 cities in 3 countries in the last month, I'm speaking at home! I'll be presenting a case study of a #dataviz project I'm doing for a theme park operator. eventbrite.com/e/collabdays-… #linkedinlearninginstructor #mvpbuzz #Visio #PowerBI

This is a fun session for new and advanced Visio users. I'm sure even long-time Visio users will learn new things. It's a challenge to fit 20 live demos into an hour, but there's no shortage of cool Visio things to show and I enjoy trying. @projectworld pmbaconferences.com/toronto/…
