Lowkey reminder for everyone reading this: Turn on Find My. Turn on 2FA. Lock your ecosystem, not just your phone. Most people don’t get hacked. They just never set things up properly.
There’s a guy who stole my phone last year… and he still hasn’t logged out of my iCloud 😭🤣 He ran away to some village in KZN, thinking he escaped. Little does he know… every time I get bored, I delete his pictures 🙏🏾😂🔥

A Windows 11 cumulative update from January 13, 2026—KB5074109—was released as the Patch Tuesday rollup. Shortly after, users started reporting gaming problems, including graphics artifacts, black screens, and frame-rate drops. 🎮 Nvidia’s response: Nvidia has confirmed it’s aware of these gaming/graphics issues and is investigating. On official forums a representative noted that removing (uninstalling) the KB5074109 update appears to fix the artifact issues for some setups—though this is based on troubleshooting and reproduction cases rather than an official permanent fix yet. 🛠 Specific issues linked to the update include: • Visual artifacts and glitches in games (rectangular blocks, shadow anomalies). • Short black screens at boot or during gameplay. • Reported frame-rate drops and worse low fps/stutter in certain titles. Windows Forum Windows Forum Windows Forum 📌 Other bugs from the same update: Beyond gaming issues, users and reports have also connected the January update to: • Remote Desktop sign-in failures and broken shutdown behavior on some systems (later fixed in out-of-band patches). • Sleep mode (S3) problems—where uninstalling the update restored normal sleep behavior on affected machines. • Customized File Explorer settings resetting or breakage. • Boot failures on a subset of commercial PCs and other black-screen abnormalities. Microsoft Support Windows Report GameGPU Windows Forum 🔄 What’s being done: Microsoft has released some out-of-band fixes for specific regressions (e.g., Remote Desktop, shutdown issues), and an optional preview patch (KB5074105) that addresses certain black-screen scenarios—but none of these have been confirmed as a complete resolution for the gaming artifacts issue yet. Windows Forum Bottom line: Uninstalling the January 2026 KB5074109 update has been reported to resolve many of the gaming artifacts and display glitches associated with Nvidia GPUs, but the underlying interaction between the OS update and Nvidia drivers is still under investigation by Nvidia and Microsoft. I love thinking about this. It’s not about replacing engineers — it’s about giving them wings. Suddenly, $10k/month work is just supervising a few lines of AI instructions.
Software engineers are the happiest people on Earth now. They pay $100/month for Claude Code to do the work. Their employer pays them $10,000/month for the results. $9,900 profit for sipping coffee and talking to AI. What a time to be alive.

Everyone’s missing the real story. This “Gates should’ve held Microsoft” take sounds smart. The math isn’t. Yes — if he kept 44.9%, on paper he might be worth $1T+. But what happened to the money that left Microsoft? The Gates Foundation has given away $100B+. Gavi alone helped save ~17 million lives. Child mortality dropped from 10M to 5M annually. Polio is nearly eradicated. Another $200B is committed over the next 20 years. And Buffett? He didn’t give “bad diversification advice.” He donated $47.9B to the Foundation. This wasn’t wealth preservation. It was capital allocation at planetary scale. Also — paper trillions aren’t spendable trillions. One person holding 45% of a $3.8T company creates massive market overhang. You can’t liquidate that without moving the entire market. But the deeper issue? We’ve optimized for “richest person alive” as the default success metric. Gates opted out. The real question isn’t: “What if he held?” It’s: What would we have lost if he did? Millions of lives. That’s the trade most people ignore.

Everyone’s praising the traffic. 150M monthly visits. Top 40 website globally. Bootstrapped. No investors. Cool story. But nobody’s talking about what’s actually being uploaded. Birth certificates. Passports. Aadhaar & PAN cards. Bank statements. Tax returns. Property deeds. Loan agreements. Medical reports. Business contracts. NDAs. Court documents. This isn’t just a “PDF tool.” It’s a platform processing some of the most sensitive documents in people’s lives. Convenience is powerful. But convenience + mass data = serious responsibility. In an AI era where data is leverage, the real question isn’t traffic. It’s: How is that data handled? How long is it stored? Who has access? What happens if there’s a breach? We celebrate growth. We rarely question exposure. And that’s the part that actually matters.
Run by a 43-person team now It was created in 2010 by Marco Grossi, a Barcelona-based design student. simply because he needed an easy way to cut and paste pages in a PDF for a school project. He built it himself and ran the site alone from home for seven years The company has zero investors, no plans to sell, and keeps revenue private, but 80–90% comes from premium business subscriptions (around $4/month for extras like offline access). iLovePDF was attracting 150 million monthly visits, ranking it as the 34th most-visited website worldwide, even beating Amazon in India.

Canceled the order. Got a full refund. Then the $1,850 ASUS ROG RTX 5080 (White) still showed up at the door. The Redditor contacted Amazon to return it or pay. Amazon’s response? “Keep it. System error on our end.” Is this lucky… or a sign of how broken big e-commerce logistics have become? What would you do? 👇

Apps open instantly. Camera is insane.” If an app opens 1 second late, are you losing $2k? If a photo isn’t perfect, does life stop? Phones peaked. What hasn’t is our obsession with tiny upgrades.

At an Agents Anonymous SF meetup last night, we ran a quick AI usage poll. Claude Code dominates at ~70%. Codex ~15%. Cursor ~10%. Everything else is noise. More interesting: 85% have tried MCPs. 70% have tried Claude Code skills. Only 40% touched plugins. Signal: experimentation is high, but commitment is narrow. One tool wins mindshare. Most features don’t survive first contact.

Stop using Notes. Use a real password manager. Good options: Bitwarden (free, open-source, end-to-end encrypted) 1Password (best UX, great for families/teams) Apple iCloud Keychain (better than Notes if you’re all-Apple) You get encryption, autofill, breach alerts, and one strong master password instead of 50 weak ones.

Not a dumb question at all — this is actually a great one. Short answer: Netflix doesn’t really block screenshots on the web. It mostly blocks screen recording at the DRM / browser level. Longer, clear version 👇 On websites, Netflix relies on DRM (Digital Rights Management) — mainly Widevine (Chrome), PlayReady (Edge), and FairPlay (Safari). What that does: •Video is decrypted inside a secure browser pipeline •The decoded frames never hit the normal screen buffer •Screen recorders capture a black frame instead Why screenshots sometimes work: •Screenshots are OS-level •Browsers can’t fully stop them without OS cooperation •So you might get a still frame, but not reliable recording On mobile apps, it’s stronger: •Android uses FLAG_SECURE •iOS uses system-level protections → screenshots and recordings are straight-up blocked Important misconception: ❌ It’s not CSS ❌ It’s not JavaScript ❌ It’s not some frontend trick ✅ It’s hardware + browser + DRM integration So yeah — if you were thinking “how do they detect screenshots?” They don’t. They just make sure there’s nothing usable to capture in the first place.
Call me a junior dev idc. but how does netflix handle the screenshot blocking on websites????!!

The very last iPod ever made… just unboxed. 256GB iPod Touch 7th gen. Activated today. Manufactured late October 2025. Still under Apple’s warranty until January 2027. AppleCare+ active until February 2028. A relic. A collectible. And somehow… still brand new. Who else remembers their first iPod? #Apple #iPod

Stop overcomplicating programming. You don’t need 50 tutorials. You need projects. Build these instead: • Password Manager → file handling + hashing • URL Shortener → routing + IDs + persistence • Todo App (with deadlines) → CRUD + state • Web Scraper → requests + parsing + rate limits • CLI Expense Tracker → logic + edge cases • Log Analyzer → timestamps + patterns • Simple Recommender → similarity rules • Email Automation Script → SMTP + scheduling Projects. Not tutorials. Which one are you building first? #BuildInPublic #LearnToCode

Claude can now securely connect to your health data. Four new beta integrations just dropped: • Apple Health (iOS) • Health Connect (Android) • HealthEx • Function Health This is a big step toward AI that understands your body, not just your prompts. Powerful… but also sensitive. Would you trust an AI with your health data? Why or why not?
Claude can now securely connect to your health data. Four new integrations are now available in beta: Apple Health (iOS), Health Connect (Android), HealthEx, and Function Health.

🚨 BREAKING: Google Research may have just killed the textbook. It’s called Learn Your Way. Drop in any PDF → LearnLM turns it into 5 personalized learning formats, tailored to how you learn. The result? Students using it scored 78% on retention tests. Traditional study methods: 67%. That gap is massive. Static textbooks assume one learning style. This assumes you. If this scales, education doesn’t get “digitized.” It gets personalized. The real disruption isn’t AI tutors. It’s adaptive content. #AI #EdTech

How I use Codex: step 1: - Setup GPT-5.2-XHIGH and tell it to read every files under what directory I want to work in - Have it produce a map of the code, and a scope that is relevant to the big goal I want to accomplish - Have it make a directory called /tasks where it makes 1 task-00.md file in a sequence step 2: - Switch to gpt-5.2-codex-xhigh - Attach the scope, the rules, and the task-00.md - Push the same message but change the number task-01.md The scope is the big picture. What we are trying to do, what it touches, why we made certain decisions etc.. The rules file is the instructions it has to follow during development: 1. checkout new branch when starting a task 2. complete the task as described, attempt to reduce code not make more for older projects. 3. run type-check, lint, full test suite (not deleting or skipping tests), commit and push 4. update documentation Each task will take between 15 minutes and 1 hour, you can stack them on top each other so codex only sees 1 per turn. 2-24 hour runs depending on how well you specify all code is typically functional improved, cleaner code,

3 motion design principles AI tools always break: 1. Easing curves → AI does linear motion → Looks robotic, not natural → Human touch still needed 2. Timing → AI doesn't understand pacing → Everything moves at same speed → Rhythm = human skill 3. Anticipation → AI jumps straight to action → No wind-up, no follow-through → Feels lifeless This is why motion designers + AI = powerful combo. AI for speed. Humans for soul.

Runway Gen-4 Test Results (Product Animation): Use case: SaaS dashboard animation for landing page ✅ What worked: → Basic transitions smooth → Fast generation (2-3 mins) → Good for concept testing ❌ What failed: → UI elements distorted → Text became unreadable → Colors shifted unexpectedly → Not client-ready quality Verdict: 6/10 Good for: Early concepts, mood boards Bad for: Final deliverables, client work The gap between AI output and professional work is still MASSIVE. Cost: $12/100 credits Worth it? Only for rapid prototyping. Tomorrow: Testing Kling for comparison. Questions? ↓
