Lol I had an oral argument a few months ago with the Appellate Division. I literally did not get through my first sentence before being peppered with questions, which lasted the entire time.
Halloween has to be the best holiday. No religious, no symbolic meaning, no recognition of history: we all just made this collective, societal decision that on this one day of the year, the only day of the year, we’re all gonna be silly for no reason except that it’s fun.
Been thinking about this a lot in the last day. I do think the guy handled this almost as well as you could, but I’m also grossed out by the implication there are good and bad Jews. These people don’t care, as evidenced by this video. We’d all be sent to the gas chambers anyway.
This video is going around and to say you hate a group of people without embarrassment is nuts but the comedian’s almost implication of “well, Israel obviously is wrong and I can understand why you hate THOSE Jews” is kind of more upsetting to me.
It truly reeks of “yeah, but what about the good Jews who have the ‘right’ politics. You shouldn’t hate them.”
A lot of people hate Jews. Your knee-jerk reaction to have to condemn Israel won’t make it stop. I promise you.
Thankfully, the standard of proof in a criminal trial isn't whether it passes Bayesian reasoning. Imagine explaining that to the jury. Who even needs trials; just update your priors!
When I interned in DC, I decided to read Mein Kampf to see if it was as much a POS as I expected (spoiler: it was). Started reading it on the National Mall. Huge swastika on the front. Five minutes later, I realized what I was doing and booked it back to my apartment in shame.
reading "the rise and fall of the third reich" on the bus, alternating the whole time between shaking my head and nodding, so people know i disapprove of the rise of the third reich but approve of the fall of the third reich xitter.gq/phosphor_glow/status/2…
Mougey has been a rock star.
I know Jets fans are angry right now — but it should be said that this year’s rookie class is panning out already in a really fun way.
David Bailey: 5.5 sacks, 9 QB hits, 3 forced fumbles in seven games
Kenyon Sadiq: 2 TDs, 100-yard game, talented enough that fans are already mad he’s not getting the ball more
Omar Cooper: Back to back 100-yard/TD games. Looks like the real deal.
Darrell Jackson: Already looking like a good find on Day 3. Should play more depending on how long Sweat is out.
D’Angelo Ponds is going to see his role increase. He’s learning nickel on the job so expect some bumps — but the talent is there if he can figure out a new position on the fly.
This is a skill issue. It’s rare that interrogatories are NOT useful when I go to trial. People rely too much on form/boilerplate rogs.
Yes, Europe kicked my family out, can’t find us there for sure.

People experiencing one season of what Jets fans experienced the last 15 years and they’re sick to their stomachs lmfaooo
I will never understand how someone can post something like this and not think, “boy, this is really racist, maybe I’m the problem here.”

Lol. Here’s what Pangram had to say on a brief that I wrote 100% myself
I think this is the thing that people who place lots of emphasis on disclosure are ignoring. Many people who use AI to write (not all people! many) are utterly self-deluded about how much of the work is due to them, and how much to AI. For Neurips position paper track, there were *loads* of declarations along the lines of "all the ideas mine! ai just helped with presentation at the margins" where pangram scores were 100%. And before you ask, we did loads of testing. You don't get a 100% pangram score if ~the whole piece isn't deeply infused with AI-generated phrases (like this very funny quote that @KelseyTuoc uses)
