Quick BTC update. In the ten years Iโ€™ve been here, this is by far the most subdued sentiment Iโ€™ve seen. Itโ€™s understandable, but the extent is striking -- especially in light of a favorable policy climate in DC, continued sovereign and corporate accumulation, etc. While overleveraged traders are getting blown out on dips, a sovereign wealth fund like Abu Dhabiโ€™s Mubadala is happy to sit on the bid and take it in. For traders and investors looking to take advantage of this type of environment, the key is to watch for when price starts to diverge positively from depressed sentiment. For assets in long-term uptrends, that's when huge percentage gains can happen. This was certainly true for eventual winners like AMZN in the years after the tech bust a quarter-century ago; sentiment was terrible, but price gradually started to diverge upwards, quietly regaining levels that were previously lost and reflecting the long-term underlying growth story. I posted about this in 2023 -- when BTC was 25k, and sentiment was also subdued.
Seeing lots of tweets about BTC and lower engagement/public interest. I personally find thisย fascinating and any trader active 20 years ago should be getting flashbacks. In terms of sentiment and interest, 2023 = 2003. You can go to the dusty finance message boards for AMZN and otherย eventual winners and see the same dynamic back then. Retail and fast-money desks were blown out after '99, but a new ownership baseย was slowly moving in as tech leaders survived and continued to build. In terms of price action, oneย of the keys back then was to watchย the longer term charts (weekly and especially monthly) for when price levels thatย were previously lost were quietly regained. This led to huge profits for traders who were still in the game and paying attention, because it indicated the continuation of a long-term secular trend. In the case of BTC, for example, a recent level to watch would be 28-30k. And so on at higher levels. I can tell you this: despite all the fundamental company analysis thatย Wall Street and the media like toย peddle, you'd probably be surprised by how many smart institutional guys act off the charts (especially true with BTC). Self-fulfilling on the way down...and on the way up.

Personally, my biggest 2026 catalyst for BTC price is going to be Schwab enabling buying/selling in 1H26. 1. Massive Top 3 brokerage in USA 2. Ease of buying same as ETF 3. Fidelity Crypto has more friction, Schwab is seamless Lots of long-term money about to be unlocked.

My calculation was: After-tax income รท net worth โ‰ฒ 3% Then it no longer makes sense to work. If that number is 5-6% then it starts to make sense. For example, if net worth is $5M and after tax income is $200k, thatโ€™s 4%. It barely makes any sense to work.

Iโ€™ve been buying #Bitcoin since 2014 and the following sentiment is when it was the best time to buy: - Nobody telling you to buy - Feels unpopular to buy - You feel like youโ€™re on your own - Everyone lost interest - Twitter is depressed

It's your last opportunity to make a few smart tax loss harvesting moves: 1. If you have options positions that are at a loss, take the loss now and roll into a different strike price. 2. If you hold #Bitcoin and are at a loss, sell all that BTC now, and buy it all back. 3. If you hold $IBIT at a loss, sell it all now, take the loss, and then buy back the equivalent amount in $FBTC This could save you thousands or tens of thousands of dollars in taxes. Note on #2: Bitcoin has the unique characteristic that it does not trigger the "wash sale" rule, which allows you to sell at a loss and immediately buy back. Note on #3: $IBIT and $FBTC are considered different ETF's and therefore will not trigger wash sale rule, allowing you to do this type of tax loss harvesting.

Yeah itโ€™s a bit bizarre. Previous bear markets were things like massive inflation and Fed rate hikes or China mining ban. I do think this dip correlated to the Fed being more hawkish at end October meeting and the government shutdown starting.

At $99,000, Bitcoin is now down 21% from its all-time high of $126,000 on October 6. Is that a big decline for Bitcoin? No... $BTC

Truly no point in having wealth unless you have health. Corporate jobs kill your health: Stress Blue light Sedentary Lack of authenticity Poor indoor air quality Stimulant dependency Unnatural working hours Travel/circadian disruption Plan your escape.

If you were tracking the elections on Polymarket you know that the tide started turning on the election in early October with BTC at $60k. It rocketed to $100k+ due to Trump, a 70% gain. Since then, weโ€™ve fluctuated a bit but are sitting at up just over 10%.

Potentially the most fascinating โ€œloopholeโ€ in the entire tax code: In 2025, you can only directly contribute $7,000 to a Roth IRAโ€ฆ But some business owners & their spouses are putting away over $100k collectively into a Roth IRA every yearโ€ฆ Wild.

The reason itโ€™s hard to HODL #Bitcoin is due to a flaw in human psychology For 90% if itโ€™s lifespan, #Bitcoin is below the all time high. The S&P500 is only below all time high around 30-40% of the time. Yet, BTC has outperformed SPY with 75.5% vs 8.5% 10yr CAGR
