Big win in recognising the diversity of our community! From today 11am press conferences will be interpreted live in to Arabic and Vietnamese (I understand more languages to come!) So pleased that the Premier’s office acted on our suggestion and made it happen! #NSWpol
NSW Press conference has Auslan interpreter, but no other languages. We need live translations into Arabic, Vietnamese at least (2 most spoken languages other than English in Fairfield/Liverpool/Canterbury-Bankstown. You can't follow the advice if you don't understand it! #NSWpol

South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission refused to address apartheid injustices, punish the perpetrators and deliver justice. Truth without justice is useless. SA's inequality, unemployment, black landless people is a time bomb. It's exploding in phases. #ShutdownSA

In the Youth Justice system, I work with 12yr olds who have done less than @AndrewLamingMP and who face far greater punitive consequences (and even less support) - this tells you everything you need to know about the privileges afforded to white men in this place.

As an organisation that works for our newest Australians to be treated with justice, we believe First Nation's people must be afforded the same. In solidarity, our organisation no longer recognises #AustraliaDay. Tomorrow, the ASRC will be operating normal hours #ChangeTheDate

Australia was founded on the blood of Aboriginal people. Since colonisation, the death penalty has never ended.
This #InvasionDay, we stand in solidarity with the families whose loved ones have died in custody.
