The day-one broadcast to Texans in that same independence scenario. Mail, borders, safety, a government getting to work. It plays like a country that already knows how to run itself.

Alberta: the 51st state? "Support for the separatist cause appeared to gain traction after U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent acknowledged the situation during an interview, suggesting that Albertans possess considerable resources and a desire for independence reflective of attitudes in the U.S."

Radical decentralization seems like the best solution, but @RyeGriffiths suggests it will lead to national divorce anyway.

The term "National Divorce" is an uncomfortable one. Maggie Anders of FEE identifies what worries her most.

🤔 💡 We worry about what we can get from Government, but... Do we even know what we are losing?💡 🤔. @LarrySharpe

JAN 8 Reuter reports the possibility of paying the residents of Greenland to vote for secession and join US. I said same thing on Jan 5th, but was too high on the price - although it could still climb to my prediction.

Today Elon reposted a tweet that proposes National Divorce. Please comment on Nick's post, because many will see it, possibly Elon himself, a big potential donor & powerbroker.
Look…It's not that hard. The left just wants to live in an environment where taxes are high, the regulations are plentiful, the property is collective and the economy centrally planned… No one has guns except the police, who no longer exist because no one is illegal so prisons aren't needed. The men are women, the women are men and the kids are trans… The day care centers are plentiful, but kids are not, because abortion is free. All lives matter except for straight white males who are literally Hitler and land acknowledgments are spoken before every sporting event where the score is never kept… And the rest of us? Well the rest of us would like to live somewhere about as opposite to what I just described as possible. So maybe it's time to just divvy up the states between us. Allow everyone the option to move to one zone or the other and then conduct the same kind of experiment that North and South Korea did… Then we can check back in 30 years and figure out which one is a thriving high trust society and which one is a degenerate failed state incapable of being seen from space at night…except maybe for the mostly peaceful glow of its cities burning to the ground.

Redistricting and gerrymandering is inevitably pushing us closer to conflict, or to national divorce.💥 @JasonKFry #NationalDivorce

Is secession a reasonably good alternative to civil war?

Too fat and too entertained. Are we too comfortable to have to worry about a civil war? @ChrisRossini @RonPaulInstitut
