The player wage bills of League One clubs for the 2026/27 season. 💰⚽
Leicester City are reportedly spending a staggering £35 MILLION a year on player wages, almost FOUR TIMES as much as the next highest spenders, Luton Town (£9.6m).
At the other end of the scale, Bromley are estimated to spend just £2.88m annually.
The financial gap between clubs in the same division is absolutely enormous. 🤯

✍️ Pleasure to speak with Mike Kelly - Wimbledon’s ‘63 Amateur Cup-winning keeper and former Goalkeeping Coach with England. Our very own #Bayzo sent me a photo of him and Mike at Plough Lane. Mike worked with him and Ian Walker many years ago as an England youth keeper. #AFCW 🏴

Wimbledon have dropped 13 points from leading positions this season (D2 L3); only Barnsley have dropped more in League One (14).

Jayden Stockley has given Wimbledon the lead in 7 matches, this season. #AFCW have won only 1 of those games.
That's now 13 points dropped from winning positions in the league.
No win in the last 9 games, and only 4 wins in 18 games in all comps. Bleak stuff!

Well said Lee and support your call to get out and vote whichever way, exercise your rights as a fan. A massive decision in the club’s evolution, make yourself part of it.
So, @AFCWimbledon , I just voted, and voted yes. I recognise this is a hugely challenging and emotive issue for us all, and I respect the way it is being discussed and debated. I attended both meetings. I hope the DTB and investors will continue to engage pre-17 Nov. 1/3

There is no need to wait until Sunday for the inquest. England are out of the World Cup, the players and staff have been failed by a game that's treated its national team as an afterthought for too long. Time for those in charge to wake up and make real change, or this becomes the norm.

Behind the excitement on the pitch, many clubs face significant financial pressures:
- Losses for clubs across the English football pyramid are at £1.7bn
- 17 clubs in the top five league in England would be loss-making even if their players played for free
- More than 25% of clubs wouldn’t survive the month if their owner stopped funding them
