Follow me if you enjoy honest anonymous ramblings about trying to set up a life for myself, without any colleagues or bosses.
An introvert's attempt to make a decent living while focusing on my mental health.
It's been a few months of trying to make money online and it's been a grind. Feels more luck than skill. Plenty of talentless people making money online. It's not like any other workplace.
All of a sudden I have a job interview. For a full-time job in a nice seeming company with good benefits.
Is this the end of my freelancing dream?
The job is fully remote, so that got me excited. Not sure what to do now.
I finally found a website that pays for simple freelance work in the UK - @Verbit_
I've passed their tests, done a few transcripts and it's going really well. I'm hoping this will be something I can continue doing for a while and that will give me some independence.
I want to write for pleasure, so being able to practice quick typing and to make a bit of money for it feels great.
It's not a lot of money for now, but I am just starting off, hoping the money gets better and I get quicker with time.
I find it weird when people brag about how much money they make. Wealth is not a value to me.
Why would anyone be proud of hoarding anything, especially such a resource as cash, when so many people are struggling.
People should brag about how much money they gave away.
It seems that Twitter all of a sudden wants to show me all the marketing geniuses who are just ✨fantastic✨ at selling, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what exactly are they selling.
Also, everyone is supposedly making $10k per month, but there is NO EVIDENCE.
It is impossible to do EVERYTHING on a daily basis.
I aim to reach a point in my career/life where working makes me feel as good and relaxed as resting.
I had a really bad day yesterday.
I cried a lot and now feel a bit calmer. Or more emotionally exhausted.
I cannot always tell between the two.
Life is odd - things that didn't annoy me yesterday, can bring me to tears today.
I left my corporate career because it made me an expert in a very specific field of financial operations.
People in general do not care about your very specific expertise in financial operations.
I knew I could do better and I want to become an expert in kindness.
I love music and have a reasonable education in it. It's always been just a hobby.
Maybe I should learn music production?
I still haven't chosen my exact path and my exact goals. It's difficult as I feel like currently I am meandering without purpose.
I need to find my favourite type of work and do it daily until I make money off it.
But worrying about that path being a path to failure is scary.
Perfectionism is the killer of the good.
I am trying to be good to myself, as perfection does not exist.
Loving imperfections in life is strength.

I am currently trying to get some traction on Take Note Jobs, Clickworker and Text Broker. Will see how that goes.
Will pick one of these depending on what seems the most enjoyable for me:
Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
Community Interpreting
National Registered (NRPSI)
Chartered Institute of Linguists Qualifications (CIOL)
Certificate in Bilingual Skills (CBS)
