Extremely proud to have the @WHBU flag flying over the field tonight

I have been informed that the Pendleton Heights vs Delta game that we were supposed to cover tomorrow night on @WHBU has been postponed.
HOWEVER we will still have high school hoops action tomorrow night, as we will now be at @LionsAthletics as they host Phalen Academy.

Extremely proud to announce that we are launching Madison County Volleyball coverage.
I’ve stated every year since I was named @WHBU sports director that my goal is to grow our coverage. Since then we’ve added girls regular and postseason basketball, and now volleyball.

Tomorrow at Noon, we will release our fall high school sports coverage schedule for @WHBU! Normally we would have it out by now, but we were waiting for things to be confirmed.
We’re doing something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
Tomorrow will be a big day for WHBU Sports!

I know things have been quiet lately on the @WHBU Sports side of things, but that’s because we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes to get ready for our biggest year yet!
Coming soon: We’ll drop our fall sports coverage schedule.
Wait… did I say sportS, as in more than one…

If you can’t make it — or if (when) the gym sells out — we’ve got you covered on the air (1240 AM, 101.1 FM) and online (1240WHBU.com) and you can watch the game with Zach and I on the call at IHSAATV.org (search Woofboom).
Should be an electric atmosphere in the Eagle’s Nest tonight at Frankton. Both teams are running hot coming into tonight’s sectional semifinal, with both teams on a 12 game winning streak!
I can’t wait to be on the call alongside my broadcast partner @gmbremer!

Breaking News from the Athletic Directors of Madison County: There will no longer be a Madison County Tournament in Volleyball, Boys and Girls Basketball, Baseball, and Softball after this year.
Golf, Tennis, Cross Country, Track, and Wrestling will continue to have tournaments.

Big game tonight, and I can now confirm that starting tonight and going forward, @gmbremer will be working as my color analyst for our high school sports coverage.
George is obviously a very familiar face in Madison County sports, and I’m excited for him to join our team.
The Boy's Basketball postseason begins TONIGHT and we will be at @FranktonAthleti as @Franktonbball hosts @elwoodpanthers1 in an all Madison County opening round matchup!
Pregame coverage from Frankton will begin at approximately 7:15pm, with tip scheduled for 7:30pm.

Also good luck to my old friend Coach Rogers and @PHHSArabiansGBB. Nick and I graduated a year apart at PH.
And of course @apajetnation in their first Regional EVER!

Plus Jacklynn Hosier is 3pts away from 2k, and would be only the 61st player in Indiana GBB history to do so, while chasing down the all-time Madison County scoring record held by Alex alum Jodi Howell from ‘05. Hosier is just 29pts away and is averaging 25.9 per game.

A lot of history on the line tonight for Alex.
A win locks in the outright CIC title. Already guaranteed a share. First since ‘03.
A win would also cement the best regular season record since going unbeaten in reg. season in ‘03. At least 2 losses during reg. season since.

While tonight is a Girls/Boys Doubleheader, we will only be carrying the Boys contest tonight.
HOWEVER I do hope to implement the Girls side of things in some way, like having one of the Girls coaches join us on the pregame show for a postgame interview.
TONIGHT on Oldies 101 we will have live coverage of the Boys Basketball matchup between @AlexBoysBBall and @ElwoodBoys!

I feel like this isn’t the only recognition those two will be receiving this season.
On a related note, I’ll be announcing our @WHBU December Athletes of the Month with our partners at @Visit_AngelsECI during our coverage of this week’s Madison County Tournament.
