Modern building methods are speedy and efficient; these days a building seems to spring up in a matter of hours. But you do have to wonder if they will stand the test of time the way ancient structures have. Now, construction may seem an odd topic for the tarot, but it’s actually very relevant to today’s reading - especially with the Moon in practical Taurus, and Mercury retrograde pushing us to review and not rush. The Three of Pentacles is a sign that you’re moving from planning into the actual building phase of something - whether that’s a work project, a creative endeavour, or a long-term ambition. The thing is, given that Pluto has been setting the pace, progress has been painfully slow. It’s no wonder you’re tempted to cut a few corners in order to speed things up. However, this card advises you to think very carefully before you skip the finer details and throw the project together. The Taurus Moon supports a measured, grounded approach - quality materials, solid foundations, and work that can be valued over time. You’ve invested far too much to sacrifice quality at this late stage.

With both Venus and Mercury in retrograde motion until mid-November, life is well and truly under the microscope. It’s no surprise, then, that you start the week feeling the pull of some unfinished business. This could be a missed opportunity, a connection that has stalled, or a conversation that was started but never finished. The Five of Cups traditionally speaks of "loss," but it also warns against the fear of losing and how that can overshadow everything else. Try to pick up on any conversations that have been left hanging in the air and take them to their natural conclusion. Today’s energy is as much about what’s not being said as about what is.
