Glad to have attended the 1st Oncology Pathology Forum, hosted by the Royal College of Pathologists of Thailand and the Thai Society of Clinical Oncology, earlier last month and congrats to my colleague, Dr. Pannawich, on his talk about bridging the gap between both specialties!

If you have what appears to be a large gastric hyperplastic polyp, or if you know several polyps are present in the stomach, you can topline your diagnosis as: Hyperplastic/hamartomatous polyps with mild acute inflammation and reactive features Add a comment about the possibility of gastric juvenile polyposis syndrome. These polyps show lobular growth, a flat surface, and dilated glands. SMAD4 IHC may be helpful in some cases (loss of SMAD4). NIFTP or not NIFTP? Round, well-demarcated lesion with nuclear changes resembling NIFTP (pic 1). Penultimate and tip sections show irregularities in the external surface (pic 2-3). Using an orange as analogy (pic 4), such irregularities are common at the tips. If these changes are confined to those areas, call it NIFTP. #GUpath prostate bx #dontdothis ✔️prostatitis is a clinical Dx, not a🔬one ✔️if you have to add "focal", the inflammation is likely not needed to report ✔️if the inflammation isn't within a target/high PIRADS lesion, it may not be important to report

More from arppress.org/books/book/68: Hyalinizing trabecular tumor is characterized by fusions of the GLIS genes (PAX8::GLIS1 and PAX8::GLIS3), and almost all have benign behavior. This tumor demonstrates a peculiar membranous staining pattern for ki-67 (MIB-1 monoclonal antibody) at room temperature; membranous staining is often absent using fully automated stains. #HNpath #ENTpath #EndoPath
