I had a fantastic time today recording a podcast with Borderlands debating who is the men’s @wser GOAT, my opponent Wolfie took the @walmsleyruns side and I took the @ScottJurek side. Who do you think won? Who do you think should win? There is no contest on the women’s side.

13 out of Ann Trason’s 14 Western States’ victories were top 10 overall finishes. The one time she didn’t, she was 11th OA. She’s twice finished 2nd overall and one of those was within 5 minutes of defeating Tim Twietmeyer for 1st overall. #GOAT #WS100
So what’s the highest overall placement a female has finished at states? Looking at @ajoneswilkins but I know he’s sort of busy right now.

Once upon a time, I finished 4th from last @wser. Didn’t even come close to a silver buckle. I was super disappointed. The next year I won. Run hard (or walk); the next year run harder (and smarter!). You got this!
