There are no words for the loss and shock our CHOP family is feeling. Barbara embodied the best of all of us. Her memory will live on in each of us whose lives she touched.
Please keep her loved ones in your thoughts

Among patients without baseline brain metastases, incidence of brain metastases at 5 years was 42.3%. Stresses importance of routine CNS imaging for pts with #EGFR mutant NSCLC to detect these early and the need for better CNS control with our regimens.

Multicenter analysis of long-term survivors of metastatic #EGFR NSCLC in #JTOCRR @JTOonline. Comparing ≥5y survivors (n=133) and <5y (n=127), similar rate of TP53 and PIK3CA comutations. Brain metastases at any point associated with worse survival.

Does IO work after IO in #NSCLC? Is it any better than #chemo or #chemoIO? 🤔
We found no diff in outcomes in 2L after IO progression. Consistent with studies showing benefit for IO past progression.

A true pleasure to be relieving @WTompkinsMD, my @PennIMResidents-assigned PEER MENTOR, at 6am after a MICU call, sending him off into graduation-land. Congrats, friend! #DontForgettheFLAGYL – at Philadelphia, PA
While ongoing prospective trials are investigating the utility of continuing immunotherapy and adding novel agents in the 2nd line, our study in @ClinicalLung offers real world data to help answer this question. Many thanks to @MMarmarelis for all her help with this project!
Role for continuing immunotherapy in the second line setting after progression on 1L immunotherapy? Retrospective analysis @ClinicalLung did not show mOS difference with 2L chemo vs IO vs chemo-IO. Prospective INSIGNA trial will provide more answers.

A short #medtwitter thread about one of my best friends.
He is brilliant, vibrant, loud, proud, caring, and joyful.
One of the most magnetic and mesmerizing people I've ever known.
So, of course he was diagnosed with cancer two years ago.
