Man that tomato tweet blew up. Anyway here’s a preview for some post-epilogue art I’m working on because that AU stuff is hitting a delay.
When I first watched GWitch and got to Miorine’s “not all tomatoes taste as good as that one” I thought it was her being flirty.
And after experiencing all of Tomino’s regular shenanigans I could believe he broke into the studio after dark and added that line to the script.
Working on a WfM AU with the characters being from different Canadian provinces and territories.
Still not done with Suletta but thought this little doodle of her looked cute. Prairie Suletta wearing Nadim’s work toque.
Had this on my mind for a bit.
It’s funny how chuds will reduce the message of Hellraiser’s taboo exploration to “gay stuff bad” because of the cenobites when it’s Frank Cotton who’s mainly used to communicate sex acts as harmful, degrading, and violent.
But the issues with Cenobites are still largely the result of the time Hellbound Heart was written, and Barker has toyed with it over the years.
With Frank it’s a purposeful portrayal of taboo that’s bad because it hurts others, not because it’s seen as repulsive or “icky”
