AFCON 2027 Qualifying is well and truly underway now, with some real surprises on MD2!
At the moment, we're not projecting 🇬🇭🇨🇻🇬🇳 to make it and despite Guinea-Bissau's 🇬🇼 incredible win against Nigeria 🇳🇬 yesterday, they still sit on the outside looking in.
Similarly, Congo's 🇨🇬 draw with Cameroon 🇨🇲 didn't push them up the table much.
The Gambia 🇬🇲 leap up the table to 78.56% - after MD1 they were sitting at just a 22% chance. That's what a win can do.
Keep in mind... things change rapidly - especially in Africa!
CONCACAF Nations League update at the midpoint of this window. Curacao 🇨🇼 is looking good. Some teams in League B (Guyana 🇬🇾, Guadeloupe 🇬🇵, Cuba 🇨🇺, St. Vincent and the Grenadines 🇻🇨) are looking strong for promotion / Gold Cup qualification.
UEFA Nations League projection update and EURO pot projections through Matchday 2. Switzerland 🇨🇭, Ukraine 🇺🇦, Austria 🇦🇹, and Sweden 🇸🇪 looking good for promotion. Would be back to back promotions for Sweden!
AFCON 2027 Qualifying update through much of matchday 2. The Gambia 🇬🇲puts Ghana 🇬🇭 on notice! What a window. Rwanda 🇷🇼 and Guinea-Bissau 🇬🇼 also impressive as World Cup darlings Cabo Verde 🇨🇻 may miss out!
UEFA Nations League projections through tonight's matches. Not a whole lot of surprise today. Iceland 🇮🇸 struggled against Estonia. Luxembourg 🇱🇺 has overtaken them in our projections.
Much of the first day of AFCON qualifying has been played.
Niger 🇳🇪 is a team we liked and is looking good. Togo 🇹🇬 also picked up a big 3 points. We like where they are.
Keep an eye on Rwanda 🇷🇼 and Cabo Verde 🇨🇻. Could there be some World Cup hangover?
