ALT A plume of deep moisture will combine with a weather disturbance to bring showers and thunderstorms to much of Arizona on Friday. A few storms may become severe, especially along and south of the Mogollon Rim including Yavapai & GIla counties. Large hail and damaging winds are the main threats, with a risk of flash flooding as well.
ALT Another round of heavy rainfall is possible starting Saturday night and continuing through early Monday morning, and a Flash Flood Watch has been issued. Additional rainfall on already saturated ground will bring a risk of flooding.
ALT Locally heavy rainfall and scattered instances of flash flooding will be possible across the Southwest over the next couple of days as moisture streams in from the Pacific. Burn scars and slot canyons will be the most susceptible to flooding.
