Updated Bee news One of my hives is doing pretty good and has filled 3 frames full of honey. This year's honey will be for the bees to eat over winter. Hopefully next year I'll have a full box of honey for me.

It's officially summer with the kids out of school now. I got some books at the library to read by the pool.

Learning more about bees. There is so much to know. It's time for me to go back to my hives soon and check on the colonies. I am going to make a check list of things I should look for. I am a bit anxious 'cause it's all so new.

I had the help of a bee expert transferring them from two cardboard boxes to the two hives today. As soon as she left, I felt a sense of, oh no!! Now i have to do this on my own. The training wheels are off my friends. I am now a beekeeper.

With a bit of work, I now have the hive boxes sitting in their new garden. The garden host has an amazing garden that I think the bees will love. Next Saturday I will get the bees!
