Week In The Tackle

I’ve wrapped up the dreadful Nuno Espírito Santo era on a therapeutic @WeekInTheTackle special out today. Should’ve gone months ago, glad he’s gone now. I’m ready to get behind Scott Parker.

Nuno sacked! Daniel Křetínský saw what everyone who watches West Ham can see. There was no chance of promotion, never mind winning the league, with Nuno Espírito Santo in charge. A truly disastrous tenure from one of the worst managers in the history of the club.

Nuno sacked. Not before time. Should’ve gone in May. One of the worst managers in the history of West Ham United.

When Nuno was appointed at West Ham I was pleased and thought it was a coup. Then we had the Brentford and Leeds games when he played everyone out of position. That was game 2 & 3. I remember thinking… oh. Everything since has been inevitable.

Could Manchester United get relegated? Yeah, absolutely. If they don’t fix the glaring problems that were evident in the summer, that are all at the forefront now. International break can’t come soon enough. @SiriusXMFC @SiriusXMSports

If Liverpool want to challenge for the title this season, the big lesson from Sunday is they need to be willing to scrap in the dirt with Arsenal. Don’t ask. Don’t dive. Don’t get. You need to be as cynical as Arsenal, and be prepared for the way they play. @SiriusXMFC @SiriusXMSports

It was a weekend where Arsenal executed the Arteta vision perfectly. What do they better than everyone else? They fight like hell to win. @SiriusXMFC @SiriusXMSports

If VAR can’t pick up the Isak penalty, then what’s the point? Total abolition now. @SiriusXMFC @SiriusXMSports

The Carabao Cup is a nice little reserve team competition until the final, and sometimes even then. If we’re all happy with that, then it will wither and die. If we’re not, then how about some bold changes? @SiriusXMFC @SiriusXMSports

Harry Kane was obviously the best player in the world last season. The numbers don’t lie.
