It was one year ago today that I had a massive stroke that put me in a coma for the better part of two months. When I finally woke up, I was shocked to learn that my family and my friends were told that I probably would not survive. then I was moved to a second hospital where I started to learn to walk again and continued to work on my recovery. Today I am back on the radio everyday continuing to work on my recovery which includes anywhere from 11,000 to 12,000 steps every time I hike Griffin Park and that is quite an achievement considering there are still areas where I have no feeling. I am grateful for everyone’s support love prayers and positive thoughts and it kept me going through this life-changing experience I am alive, well and up for the continued fight.
