Why did $MOTION launch with a completely custom trading stack?
@MetalLegBob explains how owning the full infrastructure allows the team to continuously optimize liquidity pools, adapt to new strategies and capture market volatility instead of relying on fixed third-party systems.
He also shares how $MOTION is expanding access, with purchases now available through Jupiter and the Pump app.
“We launched with a completely custom stack.”
“Our IMM is custom, the tax program around it is custom, the hook on the tokens is custom [...] The staking system, et cetera, et cetera, is all custom.”

$MOTION | @fffactoryhq w/@MetalLegBob
Solana’s self-feeding “perpetual motion” DeFi machine that uses token (MOTION), shifting taxes, and an internal arbitrage bot to harvest volatility and keep the profits inside the protocol.
Highlights Include:
00:21 – Motion, is back with big updates
00:41 – Why perpetual motion now works with stocks on chain
03:46 – V1 recap, how the old Crime and Fraud tokens worked
04:06 – V2, pools across assets let it grow without volume
05:48 – Why Motion runs a fully custom stack
06:51 – Now buyable on Jupiter and Pump, more terminals coming
08:35 – Why launchpads get integrated before Motion
10:23 – Staying on Solana, no EVM plans
11:28 – Easy mode, just buy and stake Motion
12:54 – Arb bot made $12K, 17% a year on TVL
13:15 – TVL is $560K
15:37 – V3 gamified governance, a weekly market steers the pools
16:20 – Can a crowd really call tops and bottoms
19:45 – How swinging between SOL and USDC pools doubles holdings
21:50 – Where revenue comes from, 5% of trading taxes
22:30 – Taxes split, 70% to stakers, 24% buy and burn
26:14 – Honest take, the yield isn’t risk free
27:36 – Roadmap, governance market by year end
28:39 – Hosts Takeaways

Hey @toly - Solana needs this.
The front line needs more distribution.
One of the biggest blockers to experimentation and innovation on Sol is distribution (or lack of).
Put simply, if your idea doesn't fit inside the box given to you by the big infrastructure (routing, indexing, etc), then no one will find your token/idea/launchpad etc.
Some have tried to counter this by launching a visible token (i.e via pump or wherever) and then directing that attention to their own site but that's still too high friction.
Both the expense of building, and the skill required to do so have been reduced 90%, and we should be using this to innovate and experiment. Not just rely on a few big corps to decide what features are 'worth it'.
So i'm building Pipeline (it will never have a token, and any potential revenue if it succeeds will be part of the @fffactoryhq ecosystem).
Pipeline is a permissionless onchain router for new bonding curves, AMMs, launchpads etc. Creators can register their contracts with Pipeline, and infra (trading bots, terminals, charting) that has Pipeline integrated will pick them up automatically.
Anyone that's interested in experimenting with the platform, looking to build something themselves, whether that's things to register with Pipeline, or infra built on top of it, please drop me a dm or comment here.
Currently only live on devnet as still running tests etc, will likely build a few fun AMMs/T22 hooks that can be experimented with myself to go with the mainnet launch, but anything extra built by others would be awesome (if you build your own amms, bonding curves, launchpads etc you can charge your own fees on them).

Are the coins go up? Are the coins gonna go down?
Doesn't matter.
The coins will never stop moving.

Now that the V2 rollout is finished we've done some housekeeping!
The new contract code can be found in the public repo here: github.com/MetalLegBob/fanta…
All programs have also been upgraded to SBPFv3 ready for SIMD-500, then re-verified on chain using OtterSec, you can confirm code live onchain matches the repo by checking any Solana block explorer.
Following this a 24hr timelock has been placed back on the multisig.
As a reminder, you can now transfer your MOTION (tax free) to other wallets by using the transfer tool available on our website.
Stay safe (and in motion)!

Oh ramzy listen you GOTTA look into @fffactoryhq by @MetalLegBob. Winner of the colosseum hackathon and something you'd genuinely enjoy imo
I challenged myself to create something entirely from scratch. No genjutsu, no borrowed IP. Pushed the difficulty further with long-form storytelling through singing instead of dialogue.
I am really happy with the result and absolutely obsessed with this art style.
