Trump is trying to deport a Columbia Univ. student who has been a permanent resident in the U.S. since she was 7. Her "crime”? Attending a protest against the war in Gaza. No, Mr. President. This is a democracy. You can't exile political dissidents. Not in the United States.

Traitor? Elon, if you don’t understand that defending freedom is a basic tenet of what makes America great and keeps us safe, maybe you should leave it to those of us who do.

On International Women’s Day I am thinking in particular of the women of Ukraine who have borne the brunt of Putin’s 3 year war of aggression: from the wounded female soldiers I have met to the mothers of children now being pulled from the rubble left by Putin’s missiles. It seems incredible and tragic that their suffering - and their children’s suffering - should now be made worse by a US decision to cut intelligence and other support. In the name of simple human compassion I hope President Trump will urgently restore that support, come to an agreement with President Zelenskyy and finally start to put the squeeze on Putin - the aggressor. That is the only way to bring peace. Trump can do it now and he surely must. dailymail.co.uk/debate/artic…

Ukraine is fighting for the normal and safe life it deserves, for a just and reliable peace. We want this war to end. But Russia does not, and continues its aerial terror: over the past week, more than 1,050 attack drones, nearly 1,300 aerial bombs, and more than 20 missiles have been launched at Ukraine to destroy cities and kill people. Those who seek negotiations do not deliberately strike civilians with ballistic missiles. To force Russia to stop its attacks, we need greater collective strength from the world. Strengthening our air defense, supporting our army, and ensuring effective security guarantees that will make the return of Russian aggression impossible—this is what we must focus on. Justice must prevail. We believe in the power of unity, and we will certainly restore lasting peace.

After 9/11, NATO's Article 5 was invoked for the first (and only) time ever by the United States. Troops from the UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark, Australia, Spain, Poland, Norway, Romania, Turkey, New Zealand, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Finland, and many others joined the fight in Afghanistan. More than one thousand of these soldiers paid the ultimate price. JD Vance - Have you said 'thank you' once for their sacrifice?

Was it for this that the US spent 80 years building power and alliances? Not to be a force for good. But instead to impoverish neighbours, threaten those it protected, rob minerals from war-torn countries, and break its promises to 100s of millions of the poorest in the world? 🧵

London. A meaningful and warm meeting with Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer. During our talks, we discussed the challenges facing Ukraine and all of Europe, coordination with partners, concrete steps to strengthen Ukraine’s position, and ending the war with a just peace, along with robust security guarantees. A principled statement of support from the Prime Minister and an important decision: today, in our presence, Ukraine and the United Kingdom signed a Loan Agreement. This loan will enhance Ukraine’s defense capabilities and will be repaid using revenues from frozen Russian assets. The funds will be directed toward weapons production in Ukraine. This is true justice – the one who started the war must be the one to pay. I thank the people and government of the United Kingdom for their tremendous support from the very beginning of this war. We are happy to have such strategic partners and to share the same vision of what a secure future should look like for all. 🇺🇦🇬🇧

It was an honour to welcome @ZelenskyyUa to Downing Street and reiterate my unwavering support for Ukraine. I am determined to find a path that ends Russia's illegal war and ensures a just and lasting peace that secures Ukraine’s future sovereignty and security. Slava Ukraini.

To be clear, not a single actual US adversary, including Russia and China, has received this type of insane public berating and acrimony from this White House so far.
"You've gotta be more thankful" -- remarkable scenes out of the White House as Trump and JD Vance team up to do Putin's bidding and demean Zelenskyy

I love my country with all my heart and I've never been more embarrassed for America than the spectacle I just witnessed in the Oval Office. Zelensky is fighting for the survival of his country, his people and their democracy. Trump and Vance appear to be completely aligned with Putin, the invader whose aim has been to conquer Ukraine. Zelensky should know that millions and millions of Americans still stand with him and his valiant people.
