I'm a retired UPS guy of 43 years, and before that I was in the USAF. I'm a husband, father, and grandfather. I'm also a lifelong Christian conservative who stands with MAGA, MAHA, and the American way. I study the Bible. It is God's word, period. I believe in the supremacy of the United States Constitution as the founders laid it out.
I post original takes and some articles, and algorithm analysis. I post a lot of veteran stories to give them the attention they deserve. They deserve far more than that, but that's all I can do on X.
I love finely crafted beer by local brewers. You might say I'm a beer snob, but I won't judge you if you simply like the factory beers. It's all good, it's beer.
Patriots are always welcome on my page, whether as mutuals, commentary, or both. I block bots and burner accounts, both foreign and domestic, who try to follow me or attack me on my page. Everybody else I judge by the feed. If your feed is suspicious or you post from the left, you get kicked to the curb. If you never post, then I'm probably not going to follow back. If you're a reply-only account, you're welcome to follow, but I probably won't follow back. The only reason to follow an account is to see their posts. If you never post, there is no need.
If you're here for real talk and the occasional fired-up run-on about our love for this country, pull up a chair. If you like to talk the algorithm and what makes X tick, then we can have a conversation. I like to talk about my genealogy research of my family and using Grok Bot to get that done.
Absolutely no DMs without permission. All others get deleted. Put a link in the DM and you're blocked. No crypto. No coins. No "opportunities." Don't ask.
I also need my coffee in the morning, so don't be surprised if I start the day grumpy. Though I'm mostly peaceful.
I'm putting more about my experience in the first reply if you're curious. If not, that's fine, have a nice day.
All the posts I see now are old. So it's time to close my eyes and wake up in Wednesday. See everyone in the morning for coffee.

New X algorithm code dropped last night. Nothing changed in how your posts are scored on X's end.
Here's what did change on the back end in plain English.
1. A new viewer-habit adjustment, NOT LIVE YET. It's built but switched off. It looks at each viewer's habits. Say one person likes nearly everything and another only engages with things they care about. Right now both count the same way. If X turns this on, the like-everything person would count for less, and the picky person's reply or like would count for more. In practice, real conversation would matter even more than drive-by likes.
2. Safety rules didn't change. The code that filters posts was reorganized, like cleaning out a garage and putting everything back in new boxes. The same rules apply to what gets pulled or flagged by X.
3. The rule that let very large accounts skip some automatic enforcement is now set inside the code instead of in an easy-to-read settings file, and the real cutoff numbers are hidden. It only affects huge accounts, not ours.
4. Housekeeping: a text-length counter was rewritten to run faster with identical results, some experimental recommendation models were deleted, and some training math for ads was added, which has nothing to do with your regular posts.
So keep doing what works: give people something worth replying to.

Lying to Congress is a serious crime, and wearing a badge doesn't change that. In fact, it makes it far worse. Those that uphold the law should never break it.
DOJ has added an obstruction charge against two former senior FBI officials, Nikki Floris and Bradley Benavides, who are accused of lying to the House Judiciary Committee about the Hunter Biden investigations.
Prosecutors say Floris testified she had no personal knowledge of Hunter Biden ever being discussed at the FBI's Foreign Influence Task Force. They say Benavides told lawmakers he learned about the laptop only from Wikipedia. Prosecutors say the documents and witnesses tell a different story.
Both are presumed innocent, and their lawyers deny the charges. Let the evidence come out in court. Let justice be served.

Vietnam veteran Joe Pitillo came home from serving in Vietnam to an empty airport. Nobody said hello. Today he finally gets his welcome home.
He's on Old Glory Honor Flight Mission 84, the last flight of 2026 out of Appleton, Wis. These veterans will visit the WWII Memorial, the Vietnam Wall, the Korean War Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery.
Pitillo said, "We just walked into an empty airport, nobody saying hello, nothing. So today I'm getting my welcome home."
The public is invited to welcome them back around 8 p.m. tonight at Appleton International Airport. Honor Flights are one of the best things we do for our veterans.

Navy veteran John Veseling Jr. just turned 100, and he says it feels like 90.
He joined the Navy at 17 with a note from his parents. His son says his ship earned 16 battle stars in World War II, and Iwo Jima was one of the battles he was in. When the Korean War started, he volunteered again.
He shipped out before his daughter was born and didn't see her until she was almost 3. Family and friends celebrated his 100th birthday at American Legion Post 675 in Oswego, Ill.
Happy birthday, sir, and thank you for your service.

Picture this. You've been following people for years, and one day the Follow button just stops working. You wait a day. You wait a week. Nothing changes. You didn't do anything wrong. You hit a wall, and I've hit one myself.

Not sure about the apps but it's obvious X made massive changes to the X interface on web today. It's kind of nice and a lot smoother in hover pop ups. The article creation process went through the same changes. The buttons on polls are different. Too many things to mention. Anyone see a post on it? I never saw one.

A federal jury just convicted Sophie Dufort, 57, of Gainesville, in an $8.6 million Medicare fraud scheme.
Prosecutors say her companies shipped orthotic braces to seniors who didn't want or need them, using fake or forged doctors' prescriptions bought from telemarketers. When people tried to send the braces back, they were told to just get rid of them or pass them down. Prosecutors say that kept her group from having to pay Medicare back.
A medical expert testified that some of the brace combinations could be "very dangerous" for older patients. She faces up to 20 years on the main count. Sentencing is in January.
Taxpayers paid the bill and seniors were the targets. It's good to see a jury call it what it was. They're going after the cheaters and it's paying off. This never happens without Trump in office.

The FBI went all the way to Madagascar, got into more than 3,000 scam center devices, and visited 13 compounds.
Now DOJ has indicted Malaysian national Chui Kok Wa and five others. Prosecutors say they ran a fake NFT investment scam that stole more than $516,000 from 74 crypto wallets belonging to victims in Maryland, Oregon, Nevada, Minnesota and other states.
Prosecutors say the group lured people in on dating sites, posed as beautiful women, and kept pushing victims to add more money to their wallets. Workers were paid $900 a month and worked overnight to match U.S. daytime hours.
Madagascar sent numerous suspects back to China before the investigation was done. The U.S. is asking Madagascar to extradite all six charged.
The scam centers keep moving as law enforcement closes in, and it's good to see the FBI follow them this far.

The Supreme Court just refused to bring back a Biden-era deportation "pause button," and it took one sentence.
The 2024 rule let immigration judges set deportation cases aside without deciding them. Texas sued in June, the Trump DOJ agreed the rule was unlawful, and a federal judge vacated it nationwide the same day.
Baltimore, Columbus, New Haven and a legal aid group tried to step in and defend it. The judge said they had no standing, and on Tuesday the Supreme Court denied their emergency request with no noted dissents.
To be clear, the Court didn't rule on the merits. The appeal continues in the lower courts. For now the rule stays dead, and judges can't use it to shelve removal cases.
Voters wanted deportations, and one more roadblock is gone.

THE CEASEFIRE HAS COMMENCED
The ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia took effect at 4:00am Moscow time on October 27, 2026.
Timing was accelerated two days ahead of schedule to protect the safety of civilians and to facilitate the delivery of critical humanitarian aid. The ceasefire’s geographic area has expanded beyond Oleshky, within the Kherson Region, to provide safe passage for the humanitarian convoys.
General Valery Gerasimov, Joint Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces has confirmed.
