Sometimes a monologue from the past appears and shows you a mind long ago warned of a world today. Carl Sagan has always been that guy. Today was the first time this specific quote came across my desk.

This new form of American capitalism has decended into socialism for the elites and staunch consequential capitalism for the working, middle and lower class. Where the bank is too big to fail but the small business owner isn’t.

The technocrat is like a house cat. In its world it’s a fiercely independent being capable of existing and surviving on its own merit and free will. Not realizing its entire safety, security, health, comfort and well being relies on the owner of the house it resides in.

That is why socialism is such a terrifying concept for them, because it relies on accountability and defined distribution of resources. Especially modern Democratic Socialism. Where the people decide how their tax dollars are collected and allocated.

By creating a system of proprietary technologies built into the fabric of modern civilization. They will operate under their own set of “rules” no longer governed by anyone but themselves and their agreements. Technocracy. The bastard child of libertarianism and futurism

The all fundamentally believe that laws should not apply to those in control of the highest and most sophisticated technology. They position themselves to be above any government, ruler, banker or resource magnate on the planet.

Did you really think @JeffBezos @finkd @elonmusk @peterthiel @BillGates @georgesoros or any of the elites in this country were red or blue? Spoiler: they weren’t. They’re libertarian autocrats and technocrats.

Trump part 2 has been the worst case scenario. The most talented narcissist grifter the world has ever seen was granted a leap frog lame duck term during the age of extremely powerful robotics, rockets and artificial intelligence systems.

It worked after Trumps first term. Kind of. Biden got in. But brother. Even in passing better legislation than the entire 8 years of Obama he was an optically senile ice cream eating weirdo. That again stood silently on the middle class while protecting the elite.

They knew Bernie would win and they couldn’t have that. So they said we’re not doing that, but you should still be scared of the boogeyman. So your option is Hillary the lesser evil or Trump the greater evil. A cocky fucking move. A gamble that led to where we are today.

Identity politics. The DNC made sure the news spoke on how Bernie had no chance. They spoke on how Hillary had superdelegate support. They took “Feel the Bern” and “A Future to Believe In” then tore those signs down for “I’m With Her”.

Americans saw this and wanted real change. @SenSanders was promoting and promising that real change. But the DNC couldn’t have that. The red and the blue still needed to protect the billionaires. So instead they tried the gambit that worked so well up till then.

Obama also resigned the NDAA which has continued to grant unconstitutional and unfettered access to American privacy. He also expanded a drone program that turned children into skeletons overseas.

It’s a rubber band snapping back and forth. Each time pulling to an extreme the other side has to match or conquer. It is what lead us to a party like MAGA ever gaining power.

The left is fed algorithms distractions and culture wars as a distraction to choose “the lesser of 2 evils”. The utopian promise of individual identity politics only serves as a distraction checklist to fight over spotlighted soapboxes.

MAGA and the far right have become cartoonishly autocratic, openly fraudulent, anti-constitutional and fundamentally cultish. A disease anchored in broken promises, holding a branded Bible, preying on weaponized fear through division, ignorance and echo chambers.
