Two treatments in six weeks give this injured #elephant the best chance of recovery. Luckily, second time round, the SWT/KWS Amboseli Vet Unit found he was healing well and, thanks to follow up care, he should make a full recovery #SavingLives

Introducing Tunga, a newly rescued baby oryx. He was so young, his umbilical cord could still be seen. It is still a delicate time for this calf who lost his mother to lions but safe in the care of our Kaluku Field HQ, he has the best chance at life.
263 orphaned #elephants are alive today thanks to Dame Daphne Sheldrick. She was the first person to perfect the milk formula to raise neonate calves and discover the secrets to successfully raising milk-dependent infant elephants #InternationalWomensDay

#Lifesaving help for a male lion who sought refuge at a tourist lodge after sustaining serious fight wounds. The SWT/KWS Mara Vet Unit moved him from the thicket he was holed up in, and patched up his injuries. He's 1 of 9 lives down, but should recover fully.

Poppadom is a rescued orphan squirrel we hand-raised. Most of the time he lives in the tree canopy but he regularly visits the people that raised him (namely our operations manager) for a snack and a comforting scratch.
