How does monetary policy affect inflation in emerging economies?
In my JMP, I find an increase in interest rates:
→ inflation increases in emerging markets, opposite to advanced economies

On 11/19 our Macro-International Seminar hosted @WillWitheridge (UMD) presenting “The Exchange Rate as an Industrial Policy.”
The paper shows how undervalued exchange rates can raise growth in converging economies, with strong evidence from China’s takeoff.
