Our latest story describes a steak dinner Kao had with Lindsey Graham in 2022. Kao paid ~$40,000 in campaign donations for 45 minutes w/Graham.
He later told the FBI he viewed this as a bribe to get Graham’s help w/millions in federal contracts.
Graham’s office said that it is normal practice for fundraising dinners to have a contribution minimum. An FBI spokesperson said Kao’s claims are “half baked” and “misleading.”
